Default What Nitrous kit for C5Z06 with 11.5 compression?

Okay guys what kit would you recomend for my street sleeper. It's a 02 Z06-that looks completely stock. It makes 414 rwhp through the manifolds thanks to a set of AFR heads milled .040 and some cometic .040 gaskets yielding a 11.5CR. Camshaft is stock issue LS6. I'm looking to run only a 75 shot-can this be done without running a different tune in the computer-i.e-pulling timing? What kit is the most comprehensive and made specifically for a C5. Thanks!

For a small hit like that and considering you don't want a seperate n2o tune, I suggest a dry kit. With dry you can set your timing pull in your same tune as n/a and not effect n/a timing. However, with that shot you probably need no timing pulled especialy on a Z06. I am running more than twice that and still not pulling any timing. Also, with upgrade injectors you should be fine and fuel pump is fine. Later you can upgrade the dry to wet or dual stage or? Check out my web for a couple dry installs and go deep into pics for Z06 pics. Check out links section for installs and threads. You can't beat a Z06 on the giggle gas. The vendors on this site can hook you up with a dry kit if you choose to go that route, as they have a few to select from. If you want my specific reccomendation on a kit you can pm me.

WEll It really depends on where the timing is now.If your car was retuned from the head install and they advanced your timing it may need some timing pulled out nomatter what you spray. The best way to tell is to log the car with the nitrous.
I prefer a wet NX kit.
We sell wet kits and our Nitrous Oultet Dry kits. What are you looking to accomplish? Are you looking for something hidden?

Yes something stealth would be nice! The timing is set at 24 total with max KR set to 2. I do all the tuning myself-so I can change it in edit if need be. 24 is just 2 more than the factoy table of 22 for a LS6. I also run 30lb injectors. What kind of RWHP gain will a 75 shot give-me? I'm hoping to run 128-130 on the spray. Car should run 122 N/A, FWIW I ran 11.656@118 with 370rwhp. If it all possible I don't want to sacrifice my N/A tune for a NOS tune-am I dreaming or is possible with a small shot? Thanks guys!

That's what I am running 24* and no KR. 85rwhp should get you close to your goal of high 120's. But logging like Dave said should be done on spray for timing and to see where injectors are at and if lean. I got 118mph with a crappy 12.6 on stock tires, so what you said is correct you should be closer to mid 120's n/a. What tire are you using, my next trip out will be on 315 18 BFG DR. What's your launch rpm and technique? Nitro dave has the Halo dry kit that can be pretty stealthy, and the NOS 5177 which can also be made to be stealthy.
Here's the dry timing pull write up that doesn't effect your n/a tune/timing.

I used to run of MT ET streets but 2 trannies and 2 rear ends later I gave up-these are cars are too much to repair! I'll be running on my radials-kind of like a run what you brung. I have gone as fast as 12.0@118 with my supercar tires and with the extra 44 horse I'm hoping I can run 11.8@122 on my new pilot sport radials-these things hook hard! i just ride the clutch out of the hole-i can get consistent 1.9-2.0 sixties this way-what's the Halo kit all about?

Repairs are expensive, so I am going with a DTE strut brace and hardened output shaft. That's what kind of 60's I have been getting, with lots of spin.
The Halo kit has a rectangular spray bar that mounts inside air box unseen. Its in his web site on the right in the vendor advertisments.

If you've upgraded the fuel system and injectors, what's the max rwhp you can gain with the Halo kit?

i'm running the Haltech Stinger intake-where would the Nitrous be injested for a dry kit? I don't think the Halo kit will work with my air intake?

Yea, won't work with stinger?, I thoght about that after seeing Halltech, but you can put nossles in about any place before MAF. Look in my sight where I put dual and quad NOS nossles (duals come in kit) to give an insight. freezing the Maf is kinda a old wives tell, unless a guy is really dumb on placement. One guy is shooting directly at maf from 3inches and this is with a 300hit and no maf freezing. I am sure Dave has specific locations concerning his kits.
