With TPS

With WOT Switch

TPS is a pain in the ***. Never got mine to work right. Use a switch under the pedal. The diagram above shows the wiring and the correct pin off the ECU.

I finished my setup a week ago and had quite a time with the window switch. I also used a microswitch on the pedal and did not bother with the TPS switch.
The easiest tach wire to get to is in the passenger compartment footwell. The large bundle of wires coming out of the grommet on the firewall has four white wires. You have to cut the tape to get to the wires. It was trial and error for me as it took 4 out of 4 white wires to find it. I used a wire tap connection to make it easier, instead of trying to solder a connection.

Hey bandit,
This is Carlos with the yellow Vette. I was up at the Shootout. I went with an NX wet kit. Installed it myself. Sean and Sam at Fastech dyno tuned it to make sure it was safe. I love the kit, unfortunately the converter is giving me problems. So the car will be down for a while.

Carlos,
Oh I know you. Sorry I didn't talk to you at the shootout much. I was too busy loosing Man I had an easy chance for a trophy if I didn't choke, but I did
What did you run on the Nitous? How about N/a? My best N/A was an 11.57 at 119 MPH with a 1.65 60'.
Where did you put the Nos/fuel lines? In your air bridge/ I was maybe going to get that DTE power plate to make it clean:
I didn't get the Kit yet, but anything you would do different 2nd time around?????? (Bigger bottle, different set up, different kit, direct port etc etc.) I haven't pulled the trugger yet, so i am still figuring things out.
My Plan is to get an NX Wet Kit, spray 100 shot. Also what about my Big Ol' 4000 stall. I know that isn't the best TC for the Gas.....
When were you spraying at? Through the shifts at what rPM did you set your window switch to (if you had one).
Thanks
The Bandit...

Ok I wired up everything the way airwolf diagramed it. How do I test the solenoids to see if it all works? Cant test it with car off because of window switch, cant test it just revving because of tps. What do I do?

The only way to test the solenoids is to bypass what you have wired and hook up power to the coil side of the relay. This is DANGEROUS with the fluids hooked up and I would recommend againist it. Good chance for a fire or worse IMHO.
Another way to test your setup (and I recommend it) is to un-hook your solenoids at the relay and use a 12v lamp in place of them. Run this into the car and take it out for a run. Your light should come on a WOT in the RPM range you have pilled. No juice or gas will flow on the system so it will be safe and if the light works, everything is wired properly. Next would be hook the solenoids back up with the 50 hp jets and try it out.

Give a run down of what you have hooked up, IE: FPSS, TPS, Window switch, relays WOT switch, first gear bypass or anything else I you "may" be using. This way we can get an idea of the system you have hooked up. If you followed my full boat diagram, my bet would be the TPS causing problems. Also did you set the window switch up for 4 cylinder mode? If it's a MSD (using pills) you will need tp cut the corr4ect jumper wire.
Let us know what you find out... I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I have everything except the FPSS and 1st gear Override. I believe I'm having a problem with the MSD, I even tried hooking it up by itself and I get nothing out of it. When its bypassed everything works fine. I did cut the wires to run it in 4 cyl mode btw.

When hooking up the MSD white wire to the #10 wire off the large gray connector, I had to solder it in. The wire tap supplied was acutally to lose on my system and my nitrous system was turning off at times. Took me a while with using the light I described earlier to find this.
If you use the light in place of the solenoids, leave the lower end pill out and the light should be on as soon as you go to WOT and shut off at whatever pill rpm you have in. Unfortunately, if you have done this and it does not work, it sounds like a bad window switch.
Still keeping finers crossed...
