Default nitrous and car accidents?

I have purchased a TA with the bottle in the spare tire compartment.

What is the risk of injury/explosion if I get into an accident and someone hits me in the rear quarter panel???????

next to nil - just get a blowdown tube to vent the nitrous out of the car - a great enough impact to the bottle will bust the safety valve open - you want your blowdown tube sealed over that to vent the nitrous out of the car

Nitrous Oxide is not flamable but I will bet that under the right conditions the oxygen content might make a fire more intense until the bottle is empty.

Anyone who sells the brand bottle you have can sell you a kit. Dave or Joey at Nitrous Outlet is a supporting vendor here and are great to deal with.

I had a 10 lb bottle in the rear bumper of ,u 96' Z28, and I got rear ended. Yes, I was scared but nothing happened, the bottles are very very strong. I have since reeally took the time to researched the issueand" nitrous needs and open flame to burn, and the bottle valve coming off is the only thing you would ever need to worry about. Ablow down tube will not help you in a serious enough accident. A blow down tube is used for the rare case of over heating the bottle and the pressure getting too much over 1350 lbs and the safety valve rupturing... The rear fender well is a very common place for a bottle in F- Bodies...
