Default back firing?

when i spray...it back fires....i do have my muffler cut off though....at about the 4500 rpm and up back fires...whats this mean

Check your A/F ratio....What does your fuel pressure look like? You are running lean and or have an ignition problem...Have you taken a look at the plugs?

Does it pop through the exhaust when you shift? Or is it poping through the intake.

Na, Robert.

It was that i had bought an incomplete LS1 kit off of here and traded a guy on here for his incomplete Lt1 kit. to put on my lt1.

Through the exhaust, i have the stock fuel pump....2 months old ac delco. and stock plugs about 6 months old.

But i have NO muffler.

Have you checked A/F ratio yet? What do your O2s read while WOT and spraying??? They arent the most accurate way to tune but you can definitely see rich and lean....

Ok the stock plugs are more than likely the problem.Change your plugs to NGK TR6s and then tell me what happens.This should fix the problem.

popping through the exhaust is generally a rich condition, or ignition issue (like Dave said, change the plugs).

Too rich,
try moving the nozzle further from the MAF, and swap to a colder plug like an AR472
