Default Opener and Jimmy Jams

How can you do the open and close function Remote Bottle Opener on the Jimmy Jams ashtray switch panel on a 99 TA WS6.

Thanks,
Justin

Dude, chill, this is so simple I dont know if you should even hook up a whole kit...

On the opener there should be 2 wires, one ground, one power.

Set the ground wire to a good ground, make sure to scrape any paint.

On the JJ tray plate run the power wire from the opener up to one of your rocker switches

run a 12v fused source to the other end of the rocker switch.

so now the switch should have 3 plugs in it, the universal ground, and the 2 powers.

I wasn't sure if I would have to use 2 switches(one to open and one to close) or if the switch in one position would close. and the other position would open..

I have the NX bottle opener. and I never could get it to work on the jimmy jams switch panel. I had to hook it up to the one it came with. Anyone have their hooked up to a jimmy jams? How did you do it?

Dude if you cant read the diagram that show you exactly what the ground and hots are. I dont know how else to help you. If you will take the time to look at the picture of that link. The one that says rocker switch! You will know for a fact you can use it.

the jams switches will not work with that opener!
you need a three position switch momentray with dead in the center.

NO..the Jimmey jams rocker switches wont work with a bottle opener...like someone previously stated...you need a 3 position switch.

suggestion: buy a convertible switch and panel and use that as your bottle opener switch....its a stock panel and switch for convertibles so it will look factory but it will work perfectly for the opener.

Not true, the NOS opener uses a simple ON/OFF switch to control the bottle. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but it must use the "control box" to know what position the opener is in.

Justin NX offers a Remote Bottle Opener control module that allows you to use a single pole single throw switch to control your opener... OR (on/off style).
Here is a picture of the unit.

Let me know if I might be able to help.
