Default Wet kit Questions

I am currently inquiring about a TNT nitrous kit. This kit is for sale on ls1tech. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...12#post3311212. I have a few questions about nitrous itself. Here is my situation. I just got my car back after having heads and cam installed. I dont have money for installation. So that means i want to do it myself. Is this kit good for the price and is it up to date? And also how long will it take to install and what is required in that. Also any other important info i would need to know would be appreciated.

That kit is for a LT1, are you going to install it on a LS1 or a LT1?

LS1 Jets (different fuel pressure then the LT1). You also might have to bend/replace some of the rigid tubing as it was installed on a LT1 before.

Matt,
Yes in theory you would think the jetting for the LT1 and LS1 would be different do to different fuel pressures. There was a post from Dave at TNT here about a week ago saying that there jetting is the same for the LS1 and LT1.

So in theory if you wanted you could buy this system and buy two locking nuts like what is used on the NX kits and save some money.Or you could by the TNT power ring.I have a brand new one setting here on the shelf I will sell you for 50.00. Like Matt stated above you will either need to run new hard line or buy some braided hoses.

i bet they'll tell you not to put a supercharger on it either? any special reason they gave you as to why? after all, if you look around, i'm probably the only one that has nitrous on a completely stock motor anymore and the wife's car has all major bolt ons + heads with nitrous.

Yeah, you'll be fine with 5.3 heads. You could go up to a 150 shot relatively safely with the safety stuff. It isn't unheard of stock bottom end cars doing a 200 plus shot. It's pushing it, but it can be done if done right.

It will be fine with 5.3L heads. The size shot you run depends on a lot of factors. Is the fuel system up to par? The car needs to be tuned for the spray depending on how big you go. It should be safe to run a 100 shot with out much effort.
