Default Update 1 PIECE MAF KIT

Ok the machine shop has the parts done as of late yesterday, and now they are on to the anodizer and then laser marking... Right now I am very happy with how fast the machine shop produced this part and got out their door... After installing on a C5 Vette in running form, it is extremly clean and very quick to install...
I will keep ever one updated as the parts move closer to our dock and shipping out to the customers...
Pricing is at 899.00 Jobber. Here is the picture of a complete kit.. you supply the maf.

Ok, what's in the conversion? I'm a cheapskate and don't want to pay for any more parts I don't need than I have to.

NXRicky,

I'm glad to hear about the progress of your new kit, but how about getting the shop to make some more remote bottle openers available? I've been waiting forever now for one and I'd like to get my installation completed before Corvettes At Carlisle which starts August 25th!

Looks very nice!

Thanks Dave for spending all the time on the phone today explaining this kit to me. I'm sure I will get this kit; the only question is when... I would like to hear what people say about it when it is released and installed on a few cars.

A couple quick questions...

1. Where does the throttle activation get its signal?
2. Does it spray on the back side of the MAF?

1. That's usually up to you, i.e., whether you use a TPS or WOT switch with your system. The kits typically come with a WOT switch included which is simply a mechanically-activated microswitch that goes under your gas pedal.

2. Yes. The spray bar is that center divider on the back of the MAF.

Is this system for sale yet; or is it still being tested?

eeeww another wet system
Well hey on a positive note, at least it will keep the TB and IAC valve clean.

I guess now it's just a matter of time before a backfire or an abrupt throttle closing with the system still on forces gas fumes up to the hotwire on the MAF. This should make for another entertaining series of flaming videos to post.

I really doubt the MAF hot wire is 495* F, the required temperature for gasoline to autoignite.

Beautiful looking kit. Makes me wish I wouldn't have just bought one.

Your post would be more entertaining if you had any idea of what you were talking about.
