Default BMN or MSD Digital? Which one should I use?

Mods are full boltons, 28in et drags, 4.10 gear, 4000 converter, and about a 3000 raceweight. Going to be spraying a 150 wet shot, and i do not want to spray through the shifts. which window switch would be better for me? thanks guys.

why would you need the first gear lockout? so you don't spray through the shifts?

We sell both the MSD digital and the BMN.
The first gear lock out option is for guys that do not want to spray in first gear do to traction issues.

when i race on the street and my 100 shot kicks in at 4500 rpms in first gear i lose traction bad! and actuly run slower if i spray in first becuase of the lose of tracking and the computer changing gears to soon =( so i ill be making a interupt switch to go inline with my window switch. that way all i do is hold down the button in first so it does not spray then let it go after i shift and let the fun begain =)

also i have my window switch set at 4500 RPM's so that it does not spray through the shift.

Glad i found this thread, I was going to go with an MSD Digital window switch, but the BMN with its 1st gear lock-out is exactly what I was looking for.

I went with the same set up from Dave. NX WEt and a BMN WS. It is a nice option to have (1st gear LO) use it or not, but at least you have an option.

Mine aint installed yet, and I wish it was DIGITAL like the MSD, that makes it easy, but I have read good things and Dave had trouble keeping these in stock a few weeks back.

Good Luck

I had trouble with my BMN. Sent it back to Dave for an MSD.

It only worked (improperly) in 6 cylinder mode. The switch is programmed to work in 4 cylinder mode for our cars. Bill, from BMN, took it back for repair, but when I got it back... same problem. In hind sight, I probably should have asked for a complete replacement from BMN. But, due to the problem I'd rather just switch to 'ol reliable - MSD (with the pills).

Hmm, this must be Jim. I forgot to send the letter with the new directions back with it. The problem was that was a board design(only a few of those) that physicaly locked out the lower RPM's in 4 cyl mode(import deal), couldn't change that in 4 cyl mode so we flipped the RPM maps for the 4 and 6 cyl mode. This way if the switches where set for six you could get the RPM you wanted. It was also sent back in the 6 cyl position(now 4 in the programing) with the turn on preset to 2500 and 6000 turn off. Tested out 100% on the equipment and on the C5 test mule. Sorry for the inconvenience, shoulda double checked on the new directions.

Now, gotta call Dave on Mon and get that one back. It's a custom program jobbie now and used. Will probly through it on one of the shop cars.

I wish the switch woulda worked on my car, I've read so many good posts about them. Yea, I never got those new directions, the turn dials were set to 0 and 0, which I believe was 2500 and 5500. When I adjusted them to 2800 and 6200 it tested out on the dyno to ON @ 3500 and OFF at 5000. Thanks for replys and effort. I would not hesitate to order from you in the future.

Jim
