Default n2o lean spike fix

I don't know if anybody has tried this with a wet system. My thought was to use a 555 timer to create a small delay on the nitrous solinoid activation, while leaving the fuel set up regularly. My reasoning is that the regulator does not react quick enough on the fbody with that intial volume drop hit. I just don't know if fuel puddling would then be an issue without the high pressure of the nitrous to atomize it. What do you guys think?

Lean spike is very brief and will not hurt anything or: You can use a longer nitrous line from solenoid to nozzle to delay nitrous or use shorter fuel line from solenoid to nozzle.

A rich spike will cause power drop when first activated.

If using a direct port system a seperate fuel system will work better at delivering 100 octane racing fuel faster if adjusted correctly IMO.

This would be for a tnt power ring type system. I am talking about like a .3 second delay or so.

Delays have been/can be used. Be carefull on setting it up though, a WB would be in order. dual FPSS have been suggested also and talked about, but don't know of anyone doing it yet.

Wait a minute here. On My NX wet system, the N20 pressure is what atomizes the fuel through the nozzle. I have seen this and know it to be true. I have activated my system w/o N20 pressure (nozzle off the engine of course, was testing stuff) and it just squirts fuel very sloppy like.

As far as a NX kit is concerned, this is not a good idea IMHO.

I use line length on the n20 side from the noid to the nozzle or rails/nozzles to tune out lean spikes, or make the hit a little softer for cars that have a hard time hooking.

True, however, the real problem is if you have n2o and fuel at both noids, ready, and one is at 1050psi and one is at 58psi which is going to hit cly first. I think basic phyisics will explain. Some say this temporary lean spike will cause no ill effects, myself I don't like it, and think manufactures could tune it out and send 2 different lenght hoses.

All kits come without and are figured with no purge kit . So without purging system the lean spike would be less but a brief rich stumble/bog may happen IMO.

Thanks for the input. I will try the longer line idea. With a 250 shot it goes 12.5a/f then drops to low 10's by top end. I may try tweaking the pe table to lean it out a bit on top.
