Dry 100 Shot or Wet 100 shots?
Hi everyone, I am currently looking for a nitrous kit and ive narrowed it down. Im looking for a 100 shot. Ill be using it on a stock engine except for a 230/232 cam that im having install in a couple of months. What im trying to decide is if i should run a wet shot or a dry shot? Im thinking of going the dry shot route. What does everyone think? Thanks for your time and any info would be greatly appreciated!

If you go with a dry kit you might have to upgrade your injectors. You could log your duty cycle to find out for sure. Sine you already have a cam and bolt ons think about doing a fuel pump too, that's if you go with either a dry or wet kit. When you decide on a kit pick up the safety stuff too (FPSS, new plugs (a step colder), and a window switch). Take a look at our kits; we're having a 10% off sale now.
Thanks,

Hey guys, thanks for the info. Yea I am still on my stock 98 z28 injectors. I believe they are the 28.8 lb ones? Im going to be upgrading to a walboro fuel pump but what size injectors should I go with (30,36,42)? I also will be doing a ported ls6 oil pump. I think im going to be goin with a dry kit, and I know i will need a FPSS since im an M6 but what else should I go with to make the the kit as safe as possible? Im thinking a window switch, WOT switch, FPSS, new NGK 6 plugs, but what else would help out with the kit (besides such things as a bottle warmer, purges, etc)? Thanks and any additional info would be great!

Do you plan on upping the shot down the road? If there is a chance go with the 42 Lbers now. It sucks to buy injectors and get a tune only to have to buy new injectors and get a new tune 6 months down the road when you want to spray more.

Im actually not planning to up the shot at all. Although the camaroo isnt my daily driver im on my stock bottom end and my engine has only 50,000 miles so id like to see it live for a little while and not have to do an engine rebuild right away so the max im looking to run is a 100 shot.

I agree, if you go 100shot dry you can hardly feel it. Your time slip will show a nice diffrence but the wet kit feels a bit better plus a few years down the road you can always crank up the wet kit! And you will..... 100hp is ok but 125-150 feels real good and does not feel like your hurting anything.

your not plannin on upin the shot but im telling you, you WILL after awile.i garuntee you... stuffs like crack man, once you hit it once, you wont stop and eventually you have to up the dosage cause you'll be used to the little ol 100shot.
id go wet only for the simple fact that its alot easier to upgrade should the need to do so come up. your sorta limited on what you can do with a dry..not to mention, you cant really run anything higher than maybe a 125 shot dry and be safe with it.
id recommend Matt@ harrisspeedworks...he'll defenitly steer you in the right direction...goodluck.

If done right with the right safety equipment and supporting mods it can be done safely. On a bone stock car I would at least upgrade the fuel system.

The dry kit power comes in a bit smoother so the "HIT" is felt let than the wet kit.
They both will work fine. PM us for a geat deal

i have said it once, i will say it agian. The intake mannifold is not made to flow anything heavier than air(I.E, octane) and i have seen NUMEROUS large shot(125-200) blow intakes off the car. IF thats all it does, your still out of an intake, MAF, etc. But it can rip bolts out, as well as do other things. you can also have the cylinders closer to the front get more of the gas than the rear..introducing a rich conidtion in the front and lean in the rear. you would probly be fine, but that ONE time!

I can give numerous examples of the above claims for whoever is a doubter. good luck on your choice wet or dry, you'll love it.

Thank you Robert56, See this is what im talking about. Im not looking for a track kit. I rarely have a chance to get to the track, so the difference in the way it hits and the 20 extra HP id get from a wet shot wouldnt be that big of a deal for me. I will be camming my car to take car of most of the cars that I will run across on the street as well as most of my buddies whom have modded cars. I just want the 100 shot just in case i run into another modded f-body, vette, viper, cobra, etc so that I can run with them. I really dont plan on upping the jets. The car isnt my daily driver, I have a lincoln navigator to get me around town and to work, I just want the nitrous kit as a little extra kick when I need it. Thanks for all your replies and any more info would be appreciated!
