Want to build a low 10/ high 9 street car
Heres the deal: My car runs high tens on bottle (125 shot) now with H/C and basically full weight. My goal is to have a high 9 second STREET car, I need it to be reliable and not insanely loud. I've been kicking around the idea of going to a 408 with a bigger shot, or maybe a smaller stroker. I'm still kinda new to LS1 stuff, so I wanted some input. I'd like to be around 10.99 on motor and hit it with 150 or whatever to run the number. I guess what I need to know is what motor to go with and what style nitrous system to use (DP, nozzle, etc.). Should I just get a forged 347 or go 408 or ??? This is a 2002 Z28, built trans with 4200 stall and a 12 bolt with 3.73 gears. I'd like to do it all on pump gas, and like I said, be semi reliable. I do not daily drive my car, in fact I only put about 3000 miles a year on it if that. I don't get to the track very often, maybe 6 times a year at most. I just like to get in and go, I hate having to wrench as much as drive!
Thanks for the help!

Making the power with nitrous is easy.
You'll need a second fuel delivery system and a N2O port injection system.
The hard part will be keeping the rest of the drivetrain intact. It's tough to get a transmission that will handle 1000 lb ft torque and also be good for a daily driver. It's also expensive.
If you're going to shoot a lot of N2O then you'll want a much tighter converter as well.
