Default MSD Digital Install, guide me on the wiring....

Hey Guys,

I just got the MSD digital window switch yesterday, and am trying to figure out how to wire it up....

There are two wires the manual shows for hooking up to grounds...

Can anybody guide me on this?

Also, for the power wire, that it says should be switched on/off...

Thanks for your help....maybe some install photos would be helpful...

Regards,

Riggs

Did any of you run it to the battery where it is on all the time? Or do all of you have it setup where it only comes on when you activate the nitrous?

1. Connect the yellow ground wire to one side of your FPSS (fuel pressure safety switch) if you're using one. Otherwise, attach it to the white (ground) wire of your relay. Ignore the grey ground wire. It's not used in this application.
2. You want to use a switched hot and not a constant hot wire.
3. I mounted mine on the inside of the plastic battery compartment separator of my C5 with double-sided tape. You can mount it basically anywhere as long as it's not in direct contact with a heat source, e.g., too close to the headers, etc.
4. Remember to disregard the instructions telling you to use Cylinder Mode 1 for the LS1. If you do, it won't work properly. Use the 4 cylinder mode and it will work fine.

If it only goes to 1500 rpm, something is wrong with the unit. My experience has been that the cylinder mode has no effect on the rpm settings. Are you sure you're pushing the right arrow button to set it higher and not lower? If so, you may have a problem with that unit.

You're welcome!

Get the 3M exterior double-sided tape. It will handle the heat better. I got mine at Wal-Mart.

I just installed a new Lingenfelter fuel pump in my 'Vette yesterday. It's working great, but now my fuel gauge isn't working so the damn float must be hung up on something!

Bingo! It will suck your battery dry if your car sits for any length of time.
