Default What Plugs?

Hey everybody. This is my first post here, but I have read quite a bit and have been on ls1gto for a while. First off awesome forum and info.

I just purchased a nx wet single stage kit w/ all the goodies for my 04' GTO. I'm kinda a to the whole nitrous scene but not completly. I just have a few q's before I get started with the install and testing.

1) What are the best plugs to use with nitrous?
2) Where should the plugs be gapped?
3) What is the life expectancy for those plugs?
4) Will this effect everyday driving w/o the nitrous?

Thanks to all in advance.

Justin

NGK TR6 is pretty standard for what you are doing. And they are cheap too. Id say gap them at .038-.042. I just put them in as they come out of the box (which is .038 I believe). It really doesnt affest daily driving. You may notice a VERY SLIGHTlY rougher idle. I would say change them every other oil change if you are spraying frequently. If you only spray once in a while....longer. Others may go longer...but I am plug concious and any time I take them out ill always have a new set to go in since they are cheap.

That's about what I was thinking but thought I would get someone else's input.

Thanks 383

I just talked to Nitrous Express this week & they recomend TR6 gapped at .035 for up to a 125 shot and NGK R5724-9 gapped at .035 for over a 125 shot.

1. The think the NGK TR6 is the standard. I'm currently using the TR6IX iridiums and am very happy with them so far.
2. The TR6IX plugs come gapped at .035"
3. I'd follow 383's advice on this.
4. I noticed no change in idle or performance when I switch from the NGK TR55IX iridiums I previously had in the motor to the new plugs.
