Default Spraying on a .233 .239 TSP Cam...

I've been running this cam now for about 1000 miles while N/a and now I'm thinking about spraying it. I was just making sure this is a cam that will get decent gains on a NX 150 shot. I know this is a traditional split and it really isn't too drastic of an LSA (112) so I think it will be decent.

I was just polling the audience to see if anyone has been spraying with this cam.

If so:

What were you putting down N/a?

What did you put down on the gas?

What size shot?

What brand kit?

Thanks in advance guys!

You should consider the MS3 as well. Alittle bigger, but still very drivable and it loves the nitrous. It's what I'm currently running, with the MS3 and a 150 shot, the car was runnning 10.60s in full street trim through 2.5" duals.

02BlackBullet, I had actually ordered the Torquer but then sent it back for the MS3. I had planned to spray it with a 200 shot and from what I gathered from TSP and other people is that it would work well. You really don't need a nitrous specific cam under a 200-250 shot. I asume that you have the original since it's on a 112 LSA.

Yeah, I've got the original. I've talked to Allen at Futural and I understand I don't need a spray specific unless going with a max effort forged motor with a 200-250+ shot of the happy gas.

I've got a monster spec'd out for my 408 that will be coming...sooner or later.

Any dyno #'s?
Track #'s?

Anyone running this cam on a 100-150 shot and can help out? I'd appreciate it.

I'm running fully adjustable Spohn suspension, kooks 1 3/4 stainless headers, ORY, GMMG, dual elect. cutouts right after the headers, PRC springs, of course a lid, LS6 intake (My car is a 2002) and a T/a girdle...like it's gonna help.

Hoping for some 1.5 - 1.7 60' times compared to my current 2.4 60' because of my street tires and a bit of an unhappy clutch. For some reason the stocker REALLY doesn't like 400 at the wheels.

I'm also shooting for deep 11's or high 10's with my current set-up including the new parts that I have just ordered which are a 9" with 4:11's, a bit of spray 50-300 capable wet, TQ arm, E.T Streets and a new clutch.. I was thinking of switching to an FM 13 or 14 because my torque blows ***. At 12.4 a/f I've got 400 rwhp but something stupid like 350 torque. TSP cams are great and they know their **** but for some reason...Torque art NOT with them.

Thanks again guys.

Dustin

P.S. GM Muscle, thanks for that info. Your car is movin!

Don't get rid of the cam. Yeah the torque isn't there right now, but it will on the spray. You will really love the nitrous torque. My car with the tsp 231/237 on a 112 with a 4000 stall and 4.10 gears put down 367hp/310 tq on a mustang dyno, and 393hp/331tq on a dynojet with mods in my sig. With the 9in and 4.11s you will even see lower numbers. But don't take dyno numbers to heart. TSP makes great cams, and they know what they are doing. I should have some nitrous numbers soon enough for you.

Thanks for the help.

Still looking for some time slips and dyno numbers.

Don't worry, I couldn't give two ***** less what a little piece of paper says about what kind of power my car has. Everyone will know I have "enough" when I get my timeslips. I know the 9" and the 4:11's will eat up the hp. So will my steel driveshaft with the 1350 yoke I need.

Dynos are used for tuning and testing different set-ups....not for bragging. I have been taught well.

Awesome, thanks for the info. I'll be waiting on the edge of my seat.

What accessories do I need to run a wet kit with jetting for 100 shot?

Nitrous Filter (precaution)
Purge (caust you just HAVE to purge)
Bottle Heater
Nitrous Gauge
FPSS
RPM Activated Window Switch
WOT Switch

I've already got 400 at the wheels now...think I need a fuel pump?

Am I missing anything?

Thanks guys.

Dustin
