Default Would n02 help lean me out.

I recently put in a Comp Cam 238/242 605 610 113 LSA
I bought the 921 kit to go with it. I also have a ported TB shorties witha true duals setup and I it is untuned. I don't drive it because i don't want to wash out the rings becuase it is running so rich. I was wondering if I put a 125 wet shot of n02 on there if it would help lean it out some. Just wondering before I get it tuned so I can let Futral, , know if it is running rich still or not. SOrry for probably a post that a thread has already answered this question but I searched for like 25 minutes and couldn't find an answer.

putting a wetshot wont solve any problems.
Tow the car if you cant drive it, although I doubt its so bad you'd wash the rings out...

A tune is the best way to lean up. What is your AF anyway? A wet kit can be used to lean up the mixture only when spraying, other than that it will still be rich. You could get it where you want on nitrous by using different size jets and adjusting bottle PSI. Tuning would be the practical way to go to fix AF, not a nitrous kit.

I have my nitrous set up after the maf meter so that it leans out (it's the easiest on the fuel system on my style car). If you use a dry shot after the maf meter than you will definately lean it out, just make sure you back off timing. I have tested 50-200 shot, and I can TELL you that for every 50 shot the a/f leans out by 1/2 a point (so on a 200 shot I run 9.0a/f off spray, when the spray hits it goes to 11.0, when I had a 100 shot I ran the a/f at 10.1 and it leaned out to 11.1:1). This is with 1000-1150psi in the bottle.

Just make sure you have injectors and a pump that are up to the task! (don't know how much power you are making or your fuel mods).

HOWEVER, as previously stated, a tune would probably be your best idea.

I would NEVER rely on nitrous to lean out an engine! Go get yourself a tune.
