Spraying pure stock LS1
I read through some of the older posts on this and realy didnt see what I was looking for.
I have been running nitrous on another car of mine for a few years so I have experiace with it but what I'd like to know befor going nuts on the LS1.
How big of a dry shot will a stock LS1 take, and I mean stock no motor or fuel or computer system upgrades. I'm just looking to add a safe guard system in for if I miss a shift or get a bad launch. Its for a bracket racer. An the only gain I'm looking for is like 2-3 tenths, at tops a half sec.
So if you have a set up like this or have ran one or installed one for some one feed back is great. Like I said I'm no noobie to nitrous just dont want to experiment on this motor, its not like the 4 cylinder in my other car where if it blows so what just pop it out and toss some new pistons an rings in.

Thanks, now the only issue is if the driver can contain himself from spraying the living hell out of it once the kit is installed lol

I have a 2000 SS with a lid and cat back and want to put a 125 shot on it. Should I go wet or dry? The wet kit is only like $100 more. Will I have any issues because I only have 26lb injectors?

I prefer wet kit since it will have no effect on injector duty cycle, and a 125 can be ran forever on a stock fuel pump. The wet kit is sprayed after the MAF so the additional oxygen will not be read my the MAF and the injectors will only have to handle fuel for the stock HP range ~300Hp. The fuel pump will have to handle the additional fuel required by a wet system, which a stock pump is pretty capable of up to ~150-175 shot, after that, better have a higher flowing pump.

Yeah, I spray a NX 150 on stock tune with TR6 plugs and I did install a walbro in tank pump for a little more added safety. No issues with it, actually I plan on trying a 175 soon on the stock tune. A 125 wet shot aint much for the system to handle.
