If you have no idea what pressure your spraying at that's probrably the problem. You pressure is probrably to low and your getting some surging. It wouldn't be a bad idea to put a remote gauge on your standalone fuel set up either. That would be a good place to start.

70-80psi when spraying? Where your jettings figured for that much fuel pressure? With a combination of that and a low bottle psi your probrably super rich making the car fall on it's face.

Thanks!
Yep, I would get your bottle heater and gauge and then go from there. I asume that they are seeing a brownish black smoke from fuel?

First varify the jetting you have is for the flowing fuel pressure you have. No one will be able to offer you good tech help untill you know your bottle pressure and flowing fuel pressure to match your jetting.
