Default bolt on cars with dry shot what did you dyno/run?buncha dry questions

I have searched this site for untold amounts of hours on this for days now! I just picked up a used NOS 5177 kit. As the car sits with Mac mids, ory, lid, bellows, slp maf and corsa it put down 343hp and 357tq. What did you guys with similar numbers to me put down spraying the dry 100shot? And what times were you running? Also how close would I be to maxing my injectors out? Can I safely spray the 125 shot as it sits? Obviously I am new to the juice, I have searched and read alot, now its time to ask specific questions.

no-one had a bolt on car with a dry a shot? I bet money if I asked "who makes the best wet or dry kit" this thread would have 20 replies by now.

i have bolt-ons and 100 shot no dyno but it ran 11.9 with street tires and bone stock suspention. your injectors should be fine. im no expert though...... robert is a real pro with the spray, im sure he'll give you all the info you need. oh and i was just rolling on from an idle to prevent wheelspin..... there was way more left with traction. if i find my slips i'll post them if you want.

robert I would love to, believe me, I have read almost everything you have typed in every "wet or dry" topic, or anything with "dry" in the topic. So yeah, I searched everything to do with dry there was to search. After the 4 sponsors say "hey look at mine" and "why not wet we have it listed for XXX" i see your post. But I cant check your site, I'm deployed and the airforce has blocked it.

With that kit the 100 shot shoulkd put down about 80 rear wheel HP. I would log the duty cycle on the injectors and strat at a 100. If it looks ok then go up to 125.

I think with your mods you can still safely do a 100rwhp shot. But like Dave said, you should log and check injector duty cycle, a/f and knock retard to make sure everything is ok. On the injectors if you go over the rec 80% duty cycle, it really isn't a big deal for a short 1/4 run. Just stay away from the 90/100% area. Often a 100rwhp shot will knock a second off the ET of a stockish car, like yours. Remember, dry hit's are usually rated at crank so subtract about 15% for your real world rwhp. I think dave rates his kits at rw though. A buddy was base lining mid 12's and with a 100rwhp shot he pulled a 11.47 with no adjustments to tune, injectors, plugs and so on. But it's safer to know where your at, and run NGK TR6 plugs for sure. I ran the time in my sig on a 125rwhp shot with a self tune and only bolt on was a CAI. I am now at a bigger hit. If you have any specific questions you can PM or ask on here. Hope I helped a bit. By the way thanks for doing what your doing, it insures that the rest of can do our thing.

I have since converted to wet but I had a dry set up with all the bolt on's. Never dyno'd with that set up, or ran at track, but my buddy had 11.9 car and I pulled on him every time! My dry kit was awesome!! I am going to run wet and dry next year.

My old 98 ta (before it was stoled) went 12.00 @ 109 w/ a A4 and 1.6x's 60' w/ street tires.I could never get into the 11's or hit 110 ,it was a great bracket racing car. Mods were mac mid length, ory pipe , cut out , flowmaster cat back , 3600 shall convertor , 4.10's , sfc's , lca's , nos 5177 (100 shot), tuning , bbk 80mm tb , lid and maf. As for dyno numbers , my sheet shows 305 hp and 360tq N/A and 380hp and 480 tq on nitrous. I think something wrong with those numbers like the convertor flashed or something but I don't know much about tuning. Hope this is what you are looking for.

^^^thanks i should have kept my 98. I got rid of it in march. Ran consistent 12.5s at 107. With pacetters,ory,lid,3500 tci, rear drag springs, ftra, free mods and bfgs! Nothing else, no lcas, no ls6 intake, no pulleys, no tune, no t-arm!! Goddamn I should have kept it. Almost seems like a freak nowadays. Oh and it was a 273 geared car!

Yea, the converter and the fact that jetted per NOS 100crank hp hit is really about 80/85rwhp. But still not bad. I do have a conversion table to go from crank to rw on the dual jetting, so you can start with a selected rwhp shot.
