Default Whats the biggest shot I can use on stock bottom end?

I have H/C and 125 wet shot. I have just got the jets for the 175 shot. Can the stock bottom end take it? I have a warlbro 340 so the fuel should be ok, but can the standard nozzle from NX handle that size shot? And will the engine take it?

If it is the shark nozzle than yes it can flow that much of a shot.I would prolly stick with the good ol 150 shot it works really well and LS1s seem to hold up to it really well.Im sure you could get away with doing the 175 with the bigger fuel pump.

Thats the answer i was looking for. I'm using a fuel shot a size bigger than suggested just in case. I'll but it on the dyno and see.

fuel isnt what you should be worried about.

as long as your timing is retarded correctly for the shot, and as long as you dont hit the rev limiter, you will be fine on any reasonable shot.

im not a stock bottom end, but im about to be spraying 200 with a stock fuel system, and maybe even more if everything works right.

well, i just got it in tonight and hooked up the window switch as well. Ok all i have to say is WOW! Talk about night and day difference between 125 and 175. Its like a whole different beast! Only thing is I smell a little gas after I spray, I'm assuming this is because its too rich. I'll have to get it dynoed and see if the other shot (smaller fuel-35) is ok to use. Thanks for your input guys and I look forward to letting you know the reliability of this....

glad to hear you like it. definitely get your a/f read, because you could be losing a lot of horsepower by running it rich like that

With all the bolt on, stock bottom end - RaceX drop-in fuel pump - and a damn good tune - I ran 200 shot numerous times without any problems. I have no doubt my stock bottom end would take 250, but I'll never know . Fuel AND a great tune is the key. Best is in signature

you dont need an upgraded fuel pump to spray 200...
