Red face Anybody have a link to NGK TR7s?

Maybe I'm just today's idiot, but I can't find TR7 plugs from NGK anywhere. I'm looking in IMC and they can get TR6s all day long, but they aren't showing a listing for the TR7s. Neither is www.ngk.com .

Anybody have an alternate part number that these plugs go by?

After seeing TRMIN8R roast his TR6s, I think I'll just skip that hassle and go straight to TR7s.

There is no official "TR7" plug by NGK. After the TR series (TR6) it goes into the BR - BP and then the R5. So a step colder then the TR would be the BR (like the BR7EF). With the R5 series you might get some RFI issues.

Thanks for the reply Matt! I do plan on ordering some components from you (the timing tuner, etc). IMC does show a listing for part number BR7EF - is this the plug you suggest for the big shots (TNT 175-200)? I'm assuming the BPs are a step colder than the BRs, and the R5s are even colder. Is this correct?

Can you please clarify what you mean by RFI issues? I'm still very new to the nitrous world.

The TR6s, or the colder plugs?

The BR7EF (stock # 3346) is one step colder then a TR6. It's what we use for 250+ shots. BPs and BRs are the same heat range, 2 heat ranges colder. The difference between them is the center electrode; the BR is a V-Power (groove cut) while the BPs is not a V-Power plug.

The R5s are three steps colder then stock and are considered NGKs Racing Plug. The R5s are more prone to RFI (radio frequency interference), which on a race car isn't as big of a problem as on a street car. RFI can start interfering with the PCM and so forth. Oh, and we do carry the BR7EFs LOL.

I called NGK today and asked what were the part #'s for the tr7's & 8's and they gave me these stock #'s....

Its an Iridum plug...which is great for nitrous...I use em' all the time...

If you ask for a tr7 or 8 these are the plugs that you are gonna recieve... trust me...

Good choice, just make sure you have the timing set and at least c16 in the tank... Unless you have a seperate fuel cell for the juice then put c16 in there..

Got a set of BR7EF's for Christmas.

What should these be gapped to for a TNT 175-200 shot, using 93 octane?
