Default Another Which Progressive Controler Thread

Been looking around and just need a simple answer.

Do any of the controllers have settings based on what gear you're in?

I know some have a 1st gear lock out, which I would need.

I know they also have setting based on RPM's.

So say you 3300rpms spray 50% then by 6500rpms spray 100%.

However, what if 100% by 6500rpms is still too much for 2nd gear b/c of traction?

I'd need a controller that would:

Lock out 1st gear
2nd gear spray from 50% to around 80% (just for example purposes)
3rd gear spray 100% throughout the rpms.
4th gear spary 100% throughout the rpms.

Right now i cant even use the nitrous in 2nd gear b/c of traction issues.

There are controllers that have a gear counting feature included. I do not believe there is a controller that knows exactly what gear you are in.

it'll hook 2nd on the track, but not on the street.

I guess what I'm looking for is a controller that will help me at the track and on the streets from a roll.

The maximizer is probably best for your application.

However, if you don't need individual gears, I highly rec. the FJO progressive..(for $209) . It is a full RPM ramped progressive, so it will definately help you from a roll. Also, for first gear lockout, I'm not sure it's how it works, but if you are going from a roll (say 2nd) and don't want to spray, you just turn it on and make sure the "enable 1st gear lockout" is selected. So, just turn it on when you are already rolling, and there's your 2nd gear lockout.

Here is what you can do with the FJO, and this is just one screen (the screen that I will be using for my 225 shot)....

I don't think there is any comparison of other "progressive" controllers in this price range. THere simply isn't anything anywhere NEAR as good as the FJO (thanks nitro dave)

On a side note, why not just invest in some good tires?

thanks for the info. i'll keep researching.

i've got 315/35/17 nitto DR's on the back already still blow the tires off from a 2nd gear 50 punch.

ditch the nittos and get some hoosiers or MT ET's. I'm telling you from personal experience that the 275 MT ET's hook a million times better than the nittos And if you have a 10.5" rim, the 335 hoosiers hook even better

Would the FJO controller work well for a 225 dry shot? I've read a bunch of the threads and people tend to omit the distinction between wet and dry controllers and applications.

please explain.....I honestly thought that it just pulsed the noid...

My dry shot is after the MAF btw, and it's tuned specifically for nitrous in the WOT tables (on the current 185 shot that I have right now, my a/f is commanded to be 9.3:1 from 3400rpms on up, and when the nitrous hits at 3400rpms at WOT, it leans out to 11.1:1 across the board).

I was just thinking that using the controller, at 50%, it would make it more like a 100 shot, and make the a/f lean out to 10.3, where after, the shot would gradually get bigger, also while leaning out the car more and more. You're scaring me with what you just said, so please explain
