What does empty bottle feel like on Ls1 wet kit?
I know this sounds like a stupid question. I have been using the spray for years, on many different apllications, but never a wet shot on an Ls1.
I just finished installing a maf kit on my Ls1. I wanted to make sure everything was working correctly before turning the bottle on. I set the window switch to come on at 3500rpm's and with the system on and the bottle closed, laid into, and waited for the car to fall on it's face. That's usually how I make sure the fuel side is working. The car continued to pull hard to the redline, which makes me feel like I'm not getting the enrichment fuel. I then lowered the window switch to 1000rpm's. opened the throttle slightly to exceed the 1000 rpm's and tapped the wot switch with my finger and the engine fell on it's face, which tells me I am getting the enrichment fuel. I also checked to make sure the wot switch is being pressed at wot. Any thoughts on this.

It will get very rich, but I did it once too and didnt really notice much of a power difference at WOT, although i am sure there was a difference from it being so rich. If you know that it sprayed fuel the one time then it probably did the other time.

I think it is hard to tell if your not under load. I sprayed mine with fuel only and couldnt tell much difference, but then i put it on the dyno and did it again and the car sputtered and poured out smoke so i knew it was working.

It was under load. I was driving when I tried it the first time. I guess it's working, it just doesn't have the same effect it has had on other cars. I suppose I could put a bigger jet in to make sure. I just want to cover all my bases. Thanks for the input.

you really cant feel it unless you do it at lower rpms like 3k or less, which you tried and you felt. I think you are fine. Put the bottle on and try a 75 shot and work up.
Good Luck.

Yeah it with feel slow, like nothing is working or you'll bog from being too rich.. that';s about it.. after the first or 2nd time you'll pick up on it quickly it will become second nature to know when it's happening

I know the bottle is full. I just wanted to make sure my fuel ystem was working before I sprayed. I thought it was strange I didn't feel the car bog when spraying just fuel. I guess I'll try it out and see what happens.

I really don't think so, but I guess it's a possibility. Maybe if the fuel pressure is dropping lower than the set point of the fpss during wot. I know it works at 1000 rpm's. I guess I could wire up a light to tell me if the solenoids are energized or not.[/QUOTE]
theres ur prob there.

Well, I adjusted the fpss and still same thing. Today, I wired up a light to my solenoid wires, and stuck it up on the windshield wiper. Took a drive, and found that the solenoids are being powered up. I just can't feel the car bog when the fuel hits. I've never had a car that didn't bog pretty bad with that much extra fuel being sprayed. At least now I know everything is working. Thanks for the input.
