When E85 comes out there will be some people spraying 300hp on pump ethonal. The octane rating of ethanol is somewhere around 100. But the fuel comsumption will probable about double.

Xylene (117 octane)
Tuolene (114 octane)
3 gallons of Xylene
7 gallons of 92
3 ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil (MMO) for fuel lubricant
yields 100 octane
If you do:
3 gal Xylene
7 gallons of 100 octane
3 ounces MMO
yields 105 octane
Safe for cat convertors if you run them too! Don't go over 30% Xylene or cold start problems can occur. ie doesn't want to idle

Phil, I was told you can, but there is a point of diminishing returns, and that no more than 50% is recommended, making sure the MMO isued for seal lube. I havent tried it yet, but would like to. Propain has a propane injection setup, which if you talk to the owner/tech they would sell you everything you needed to run it as the fuel side for a wet kit, rather then buying their kit and hacking pieces out of it, higher octane, however not legal for NHRA Tech.

Hmmm Matt from Snow was supposed to get back to me about hooking up a meth/nitrous system..this just reminded me. I have a friend with a 5.0 Fox that was going this route, which got my gears clinking, I chatted with Matt, but forgot all about that...time to get ahold of him.
