Default Do you need a MSD window switch for a tune?

Im getting my car tune this weekend and I dont have a window switch, will they be able to tune for the 125 shot without the window switch, or does the window switch doesnt have anything to do with timimg and a/f..? I only use nitrous for about 3 times in 6 months, but if i get it tune I will use it more offen.

a window switch has nothing to do with timing and a/f ratio. they will be able to retard your timing and play with you a/f ratio without a window switch. a window switch is used to select what RPMs you want to spray. for example if you put the 3000 and 6200RPM pills in the window switch, these are the RPMS your car will be sprayed. people use a window switch as extra security in case of things such as missing a gear(manual) or the trans slipping(auto)

just noticed in your sig that you have a hypertech 3 programmer, DO NOT use their "power program" with nitrous. what the "power program" does is advance timing which you dont want when spraying. that is the complete opposite of what they will do to tune your car for nitrous. i also see you have 4.10s so hopefully your using it to recalibrate your speedo.

yeah you will be fine. but you might want to think about getting one in the near future, for as little as they cost, they can save you a ton of money incase of a mishap IMO.
