i put a 100shot on my buddies LT1- he has cam, full exhaust, and intake and 4.10's. with the extra 100hp and 130+ft.lbs he is shifting more than accelerating. hes going back to 3.73's so he actually use the power he has rather than shifting all the time my vote is 3.89's or 3.73's

With the 26in tires better not go with the 4.11s. The car will haul with a numerically lower gear on the gas, because you will benefit more from the torque.

on the juice it might be quicker to shift at a slightly lower rpm as well so i'd say something like a 3:73 or 3.89 .

Keep the shot high and the gears high otherwise it's a bitch to stay ahead of the spray.

Damn I picked up 4.10s for my 94 z28 before I knew I was going nitrous. I hope I don't have any wierd issues.
How are 3.42s with the spray? I haven't installed the gears yet, maybe I should get 3.73s now and sell those 4.10s.

Probably a 5 speed?
4.11 in my caris like 1800rpm at 70.
Got 31mpg stock and dropped to 28 or so with 4.11's.
Now with near 500rwhp I still get about 22-24

Is that with the T56? Hmm I wonder what the 6th gear is, I wonder if its different on LS cars and LT cars, they had two different 6th gear ratios available right? .76 and .67? If its 1800rpm at 70 I might as well install the 4.10s, I'm only going to spray 1-2 weekends a month.

I don't know about the guy that started this thread though.

i have a 150 shot w/4.11's on a 26'' tire. it works fine, but my rev is at 7,200rpm's. if your on a stock rev limiter the 4.11's will not work well for you. the 3.73 would be a better choice to make it down the 1/4mi.
CAMARO94SS-at 70mph on stock tires i'm at 1,800rpm's and i can top over my factory 160mph w/4.11's in 5th gear.

4.11's on a 26-in tire will be too much. I believe that you would be better served with a set of 3.73's but if the 3.89's are a done deal then they would be the better of the two. You will be much happier in the long run. Hope this helps.

Give them a shot. There is certainly nothing wroing with trying out the 3.89's. As long as you are happy with them that is all that counts. Take care and good luck to you.

the 3.73's gave me one tenth over my 3.42's. you will notice a gain. remember, you really can't build a car for both n/a and nos. i have 4.11's but like i said my rev is at 7,200rpm's on a 26'' tire. i also have a forged bottom end too. give the 3.73's a try.

The M12 allows a virtual 4.11 in 1st gear, a 3.90 in second, a 3.73 in 3rd and back to stock gearing of 3.42 in 4th. This allows the Z06 to get out of the hole hard and still have a great top end, all on 26 inch tires. Just something to think about.
