Nitrous missing in second-third gear
Well, I got my plate from Nitrous Outlet and hooked up the 150 shot. Everything seemed fine in first gear, second gear the car missed one or two times, then third it really missed. It misses so fast I can't see how low the fuel pressure drops, high 50s I know for sure. The n2o pressure was 1000-1025.
Without the n2o, wot will get 58psi fuel pressure, idle is like 62psi. Mods are in the sig, but I'm not sure why it's missing so bad. Anyone have an idea?

If the fuel pressure only drops a few psi and recovers quickly that is not an issue.

The car jerks like it is missing, as in it throws you back in the seat about every .5-1 seconds in third.

Damn, I figured thats my luck. Damn thing does the same thing with the 100 shot also. I might as well sell this thing, I'm tired of putting money into n2o.
The plug gap is .4 it I remember right (was about two months ago), I set it for a 125 shot, they are TR6 plugs.

on my 10sec gsx, i was blowing the spark out and the gap was set @28 (iwas running 30psi and 100 shot) i had to bring the gap down to 22 before it ran right, so even tho 36 and 40 doesnt sound like much, it is.
i would replace the plugs (all of them) and set the gap to 33-35, run it with a 100 shot and if its ok then go up.

Judging from the way your car looks, I would say your car is well worth the money you would have to spend for a good tune or something to monitor your air/fuel with.
You have way to nice of a ride to do your install 'half way' IMHO.
Hope it all works out for you friend.

I'll try the 100 shot again today and see how it does. That's all I planned on running anyways, so maybe I'll just back it down.
Thanks for the replies!

What I found out about N2O kits is the cost is about half of what finally gets put into them. You can't guess on your a/f because every early detonation is doing some amount of damage. Running lean is eroding the tops of the pistons and other things. Every kit maker I know of wisely creates a rich mixture for a safety margin. People using nitrous have to be made aware that monitoring the a/f is critical for performance and the life of the engine. No one should run nitrous for any length of time without knowing if their setup is lean or rich. It should be the first disclaimer when reading the instructions and preclude every sale.
