WOT or window switch, but not both?
sorry if this is a dumb question, but i ordered a dry kit from NOS and went to see the guy that will be installing it today.
he told me i would either have to do the window switch or the WOT switch but not both?
i was under the impression that both could be used.
i dont want to go with just the window switch and then loose traction but have the kit keep spraying and i dont want the WOT switch to activate too early or if i miss a shift :\

Dear god dont let that guy install your kit. You need both take it some where else or install it your self you obviosly know more than this guy for asking the question. Not only can you run both but you can run both in more than one way.

I had the hardest time with the wiring. Everything else was pretty easy.
There are plenty of people here who will jump out to help you when you need it. Just ask when you need it.

cool, how exactly do you wire the msd window switch and the NOS kit?
are there any special instructions to do this?
this guy installing it has done a few installs so i'd figure he'd know how to do this, but perhaps i could just explain how exactly to wire both because installers in my area are limited...
also is there a diagram with the NOS dry kit and window switch install?
i found this one http://i73.imagethrust.com/images/1R...d-msd-win.html but i dont know if thats the digital window switch and if its any different from the NOS 5177 kit

Yea, Definately possible. Don't even talk to that shop anymore. They aren't in the game. I have both on my car . It really isn't that hard to install, but for me when it comes to the precise internals of the engine and splicing electronics for nitrous I will take it to get done. I like to watch, but don't want to take any chances. Take it to a place that specializes in GM high performance. Nitrous is great if ran correctly and right. You will probably have to drive to your nearest Big city for a speed shop.

Before you order the digital window switch, I ordered my off of ebay, and was kinda looking for the part at the right time and got it for a little more than half price. You might want to check it out.

with a dry kit is the FPSS necessary?
did you follow that diagram exactly?
took that to that guy doing the install and he seemed confused about the FPSS on a dry kit and even with the diagram, he said that the way its wired only the window switch would work...

Not sure which dry kit you are installing. This is the kit I have installed in mine. With the addition of a window switch which wasn't included. This kit includes WOT switch as well as a FPSS, and diagrams of how they are wired. This PDF file are the official installation instructions for this particular kit:
