Also the the gap for the plugs should be 35 out of the box. THey are fine to run as is.

that is the correct part number for Tr6 plugs. I normally get them from Orielly down here for 1.59 a plug. If you wanted Tr55 they are stock number 3951 and Tr7 are stock number 3526.

huh.....
tr6 can handle alot of juice....
there are a few guys that can spray 200 on the tr6, but they are fully tuned.

Some people say you should go to tr7 for 200 shot, but then you hear some peeps say that is too cold......

If that is what you were asking.

I have never had a full set that at least one or two were WAY off the mark. So, double check the plugs before you install them..

You have to remember what base modifications the engine has. An engine like mine runs on Tr6s everyday. Now to add juice to my car I would need a set of TR7s. I would say most people with a hot heads and cam setup with all boltons making say 470+ hp would probably be running on Tr6s everyday and Tr7s for the gas.

Colder plugs are only required once you start getting into higher DCR numbers in an NA application. If the car runs on pump gas w/o detonation, you could run a stock Delco plug without issue (again NA). Running a colder plug when not required will cost you some hp. I run the #8's but I hit mine with a 400 shot.

I don't mean to hijack...but sigforty brought something up. My car puts about 430 to the tires on motor. I will be adding a 125 wet system to the car in a few weeks...should I be looking at TR6 or TR7 plugs? If it matters...the car used to have nitrous on it before I bought it and it is still tuned for nitrous.

i have a 2001 A4 with lid, catback flows and a Hypertech. I'm running a 100 wet with stock Delco plugs and stock timming. It runs great, A/F ratio is good. THATS MINE.
