Default Guys with plate kits, how'd you mount your WOT switch?

Simple question. I'm having a bitch of a time getting my switch to line up by using the throttle cable bracket bolts as a mounting spot. How are you guys mounting it?

If you can't mount it there easily, put it under the pedal.

Man I agree, I would just put the sw under the pedal as it's so much cleaner of a look and easier, IMO. We have so much crap already under the hood and don't need more garbage clutering up our look. In the stickies, or my web site, ther are under pedal pics for insight. this method has been used for over 30 years, so...

dont mount it on the floor.... my peddle kept knocking it off and disengaging....

I just did this last night.... just twist the bracket and use only one hole, it doesnt apply enough force to move the switch

looks like crap IMO, but performance before beauty!

kinda made everything look uglier :sadnana:

I just used an electronic WOT switch from Dynotune.

Cheap and clean.

I have one NIB laying around I don't need anymore if someone needs it.

WiseAss, Man such a very trick engine bay, surely giving the wot sw a second chance under the pedal would pay off big time. It has been the basic standard in the industry for over 30 years and works great. If it's mounted securely and at the proper adjustment for your pedal there is no way it would be an issue. Just my opinion though, your trick set up would even be cleaner with that sw gone off the intake? For those reading along I included some under pedal pics so you can determine which is better for you. How could it get any easier or cleaner than this?

3. C5 WOT SW
If you guys have any other cars with a WOT pic I wopuld love to add it to my stash so others can get some insight.

Then it would seem to indicate that it must go there, and besides that there are so many different vehicles out there that it would not mount the same? Just speculation, but it seems that it's really left up to the end user as there are even dedicated brackets out there for your choosen location, so even more options than what we have talked about. If you really like the under hood mount, then maybe one of the "made for this" brackets would be the route to take, or not?

Yes but when purchasing the Kit for a Fbody with an LS1 with LS1/LS6 Noid mounts, a few helpful hints in the instructions would have helped, I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out a mounting location, and simply over looked this simple solution. It may not be the prettiest spot for it, but it works. Under the pedal didnt seem to be as easy as GTOs And Vettes.

Thanks for all the input so far guys. The pics are definitely a big help. I love the idea of putting it under the pedal. I'm gonna go look at the car and see if I can get some idea of how to mount the switch and where to run the wires, in a somewhat clean looking fashion.

I first mounted the WOT to the black nut... then moved it to the bolt under the intake.

I used the Nitrous Outlet window switch. But here's a nice bracket that I was going to use if I went with an actual WOT switch.
