Default question regarding th400 + spray (on a progressive cntrl)

Im going to be swaping to a th400 (from a t56) very shortly and had a few questions about spraying.. Im running a NOS mini progressive and i was just wondering how everything would work with the automatic? Would i be spraying through shifts? Would this be bad? i just dont know what to expect/look out for with the th400..
ANY info would be appreciated!!!!

thanks guys!

always spray thru the shifts on a TH400/TH350, it is not like a 6 speed where you can miss a gear and over rev.

As far as a progressive that is a smart move when spraying more than 200, but 200 or under I would stick with 1 single shot no progressive.... unless your car is uberlight!

I've always sprayed through the shifts with my 400. I still use my progressive controller to help keep the car off the bumper.

I dont see any need to use a progressive controller with a 150 shot. If the th-400 is built, then spraying through the shifts is not a problem. I would 2 stage it if you are worried about traction on the street. I dont really like a progressive controller because they tend to flutter the solenoids and can cause premature wear on them. Using multi stages is better IMO.

Progressives work better for max effort racing. Stages are proven and work great, but bottom line is progressives can do more. Thats a fact. Spray the car with what it candle before spinning as fast as possible. No need to let off the juice, keep her drinking the bottle the whole time.

You are right, progressives have there place and can do more. Its the only way to get a big shot of nitrous down the track on a small tire car.

A 2 stage timed controller will serve the same purpose though. Hit the first stage with as much as the launch can handle, then bring the 2nd stage in as soon as possible. The only reason I would run a progressive is to enter a class that only allowed a single stage. Just my .02 I gat my best launches off a 100 shot, but will bring another 200 in after the 60.
