N02 or NOT?
i'm looking to increase quartermile time on my daily driver. I have always heard how dangerous N02 can be as far as blowing your motor up. In fact a friend of mine blew his boostang up after the first bottle. Is there a perfectly safe way to run nitrous? if so what must be added to the car to fully support it? i have a 02 ss camaro and looking at about 150-200 shot if safe.

Anything over 150 starts getting a little more "dangerous" for a nitrous newbie. If you are looking for a good safe, reliable kit I'd suggest a NOS 5177 dry kit. It has double redundant noids and is pretty simple to install. If you do go dry, you will need some bigger injectors and a 255 fuel pump to be safe.
If you go with a wet kit your stock injectors will be fine but it will be a good idea to get a bigger fuel pump. I ran a Cold Fusion wet kit for a couple of years with no problems, they are nice kits and pretty inexpensive. Harris speed works has some nice products too for not alot of money. Talk to Matt @ Harris speed works and he'll hook you up with what you need.

Above a 150 shot on a stock motor is pushing it IMO. A 100 shot is a nice kick in the ***, and with some safety features on your kit, it can be pretty safe. Cold plugs, good gas, good tune, window switch are all things that are pretty important. I say keep it at 100 for the street, 125 for the track/planned races, and whack it with the 150 at the end of the season to keep ya in the mood all winter. If you don't have another car, or aren't able to fix a completely blown engine, then stay away from the big hits.

When you get greedy with the nitrous it will bite you in the ***.

sorry, but i just hated when people say, they blow motors because of N20 and its dangerous (to much F&F info)
how did your friend blow his motor, you can't blow a motor unless your running to much like 125 in a 4cyl stock (i blew a motor before, VW 2.0 145xxx mi 100 shot vs rsx-s
its all about the setup v8=100 v6=75 4s=55
if you want to be really safe run like 65-75 only in the v8
me i have been running N20 for about 7 years from 4cyl to 8cyl no problems at all
