Default Are bottle valve leaks common? New bottle

I have a new Nitrous Outlet wet nozzle kit. Seems that bottle valve leaks unless I torque it down pretty hard by hand. My bottle opener could never get it that tight. No opener could.

Can the valve get **** hung up in them? It worked great the first couple dozen cycles with opener but came out one day, flicked on master NO2 power and digital gauge read ~800 psi. I know I cycled to close the bottle when I parked.

Now when I run my spray then park my car, the gauge always shows the pressure increasing very slowly after I close my bottle and purge off the pressure.

Is it common to see the pressure increase a little after purging off because of residual nitrous in the lines around a hot engine??

Please help me out
