I've had mine pegged at 1500 too on one hot day...Made me nervous, as I had to release it...When I did unloaded it, it really fired those rears up big time with my dry system...
Something about a bomb in the trunk that makes me nervous when it really starts heating up... Even though I know there is a safety valve on the bottle..

you keep your car outside? if so, dont ever keep the nitrous bottle in teh car when it gets this hot in FL. If your car is in a garage, it really shouldnt get that hot in there. just take the bottle out and leave it in teh garage. i have had my bottle at 1600 psi at the track in july-august weather. just purge the nitrous out to relieve the pressure (in that circumstance).

It's too hard and time consuming to constantly remove the bottle when not using.....I've been riding around with a fully charged 15 pounder in my trunk for weeks as I can't seem to buy a street race in the last few weekends... It just sits in the trunk with pressure at around 900psi...... I see no problem with that as the 15 pounders don't heat up with pressure like the 10 pounders for starters, there is a safetly valve on each bottle... Besides, if I were to get rear ended hard enough to puncture the bottle in the trunk then I would probably be dead before that happens anyway or atleast a broken neck.....
So I feel pretty safe driving around with a fully charged bottle in the trunk...
I have seen a couple horror pictures though of nitro bottles blowing in the trunk, total devistation to the car...It would defenitely kill you... I think it happened many years ago with an old bottle that had no safety valves and in another country where is was like 115 degrees plus, the driver left a 10 pounder in the car fully charged with the heater wrap on.. Left it for an hour after parking in the sun and it blew in the heat of the day....Again the safety valve was non existant and or failed.... It is indeed a bomb if they do blow, but it is almost impossible.... However, when you really think about it so is your gas tank in your car...
Don't sweat it fellas...
Also, just a comparison for all those rookies... I am certified scuba diver and divers use 15-20 pound bottles filled with 02... They get charged to 3000psi regularly and never blow and or have problems.. So nitro bottles pegged at 1500-2000 is no big deal at all.. Just seeing the nitro PSI gage pegged at 1500 is a bit nerve racking though..
Ever see the movie Jaws? I believe that's spice, as a bullet shot would ricorche off the bottle and not puncture it and blow up the shark... Unless it was Rambo on the 50mm.....

I wouldn't really get nervous about it, but I damned sure wouldn't try spraying with that pressure. Mine has hit that high before. Once in a while I get busy at the track, and forget that my 110v heater is plugged in. I usually just throw it in a cooler of ice, or find a good spot in the shade for it.
To the OP: Make sure you have a solid blowdown tube mounted if you insist on riding around with your bottle. My brackets dont bounce around if I tighten them up without the bottle in.

I love spraying with big pressure, best runs are under big pressure.... 1200psi is just about fine for me.... Hard to get the 15 pounders up to 1200psi....1000 is a challenge even with my heater core and on a hot day...
10 pounders easy...
