Default Nitrous questions on C5

Is there any easy way to mount the bottle in a C5? What are you mounting it to?
Where are you getting your switch panels?
When using a plate system, what do we do about the power steering pump? It looks like the throttle body motor will hit it.

That's a good write-up. Pretty vague on where to mount the relays, but it's a great start. Thanks man.

The pump w/ the Plate system is fine, its the PS reservoir you need to space out. When ordering your plate be sure to tell them its for a C-5.

Do a search, there is a pretty good C-5 ZO6 install thread with a bunch of pictures of a bunch of members installs.

Back when I had my C5, I put a NOS plate kit on it. Had to ben the power steering pump just a little to clear, but it worked fine.

Also, mounting the bottle horizontal like pictured above is not the best way. Under throttle the siphon tube doesn't pick up the nitrous like it should. This is how I mounted my bottle....

I did decide to take that panel out and mount the bottle to the floor, I just flipped the NOS brackets around, using the short one in the front and the long one in the back. Then I trimmed the panel so you could just see the bottle neck/**** sticking out of the top. No pics though. The bottle should sit at a 45 degree angle, in line with the car.

I also made this switch panel out of the old ash tray....

Also mounted the relays in the battery box, along with the window/wot switch.

You can check out all my pics in this thread. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...w+nitrous+hide

I used a beer switch panel for all my buttons. I mounted my relay and FJO in the glove box, and then I build me a bottle mount on a board of MDF for the trunk to fit in the recessed well back there.
