Default blown down tube

hi
this the question

whats the use of the blow down tube?
i understand thats for a overpressure of the cilinder,
for example the full cilinder pressure its 2000psi ,or 900psi?
thas why the relief valves are rated to 3000psi?
somebody have pics of the blow down tube installed in your cars?

.

Because it does not become dangerous to killing someone standing next to the bottle until until 3500-4000 lbs??
So they have the safety release at 3000 to make sure it will not explode.
Someone else will have to post a picture, my style will not help you.

The purpose of the blowdown tube is to expel nitrous to the atmosphere in the event of a disc rupture. If the disc ruptures while you're in the car without a blowdown tube, it can turn ugly quick.

Take a look in our image gallery, there should be a few shots of blowdowns installed. http://www.harrisspeedworks.com/gallery/
