Default Need some advice/help

I took my car out to the track to get some times on the spray and something isn't right. The car is a M6 on a 315 nitto drag radial, so the time sucks but where's my mph??? The car is only doing 95-96mph in the 1/8th but traps 130 in the quarter. It's picking up 33-34MPH on the big end, but where's the 1/8th mph????

Thoughts?

Also the car on the last set-up always went 122-123MPH N/A with 470RWHP, now with 18 more to the tire its only going 119mph???

what does the whole timeslip look like....my guess the low 1/8 mph is due to wheelspin or loss of momentum.

I'm a little confused. Did you change your entire set up? Your last sentence says you're trapping 3-4mph slower N/A, so I would assume so. What changes were made?

Post up the slip. What were the 60's, and 330's?
How much are you spraying. Also when are you spraying?

Last set-up was a set of ETP ported truck heads, milled and a 244/248 camshaft. I was having problems pushing water on a 150 shot, so I called up Ron@Vengeance and ordered a set of TFS 225's and a custom nitrous camshaft. The new combo netted me 18 more RWHP than previous. My thoughts are with 18RWHP more the car should do the same if not a tad more MPH, N/A, but its not. I even let my buddy drive the car who can drive his *** off and he could only get 119mph out of the car...

I don't have access to a scanner but the slip goes as follows:

60'- 1.99
330- 5.246
1/8- 7.775
MPH- 96.85
1000- 9.911
1/4- 11.667
MPH- 129.85

spray comes on in 2nd gear and its a full 150 once it hits. Window switch is 3800-6600, shifting at 6800

thats your issue...you are spending alot of time off the bottle in the first 1/8...between delaying activation and going off the bottle to shift

So, once I get some real tires underneath the car and it hooks, will the MPH increase? I know the time will get faster...

yes...if you can get in the botle off the line, and stay in it the length of the track you will see a very good increase in MPH

I have lost up to 7-8MPH with just progressive settings.

Do you have an overlayed graph of the 2 setups...did you gain 18 through out the RPM range or only peak?

Yes the graphs were overlayed. The curve is the same, just 18 RWHP peak

do you have the graphs?

I would also hit it off the line and get a good tire under you.

Bottlefed, what's your a/f set at for the bottle? In addition to not spraying off the line, you could also be too rich.

Also, your n/a mph decrease could be from the weather. It was still 80+ degrees this past week. Didn't you add more weight to your ride since the last time I talked with you?

Whats up stranger???

I could see the weather being a factor because some other people were down 5MPH also.

A/F is a 11.0 all the way across the band and timing is only 21*

I actually pulled about 175lbs out of the car...

11.0 is a little rich. Leaning it out a little should help your mph also.
