Tippmann 98 Custom paintball gun for sale Up for sale is a Tippmann Model 98 Custom paintball gun. The gun is in very good condition and has always been taken care of (oiled, etc.). The gun has a lot of upgrades, but will be sold with stock parts. Here’s a list of what is for sale:
Model 98 Custom
BT Double Trigger (didn’t require cutting grips)
CMI expansion chamber kit (molds into front grip)
Full Boar: Shadow – rear cocking system, adjust FPS through rear of gun
Metal Powertube – Response trigger ready
Delrin Bolt (came with powertube)
Free Mods:
Polished internals
Hopper-shake-fix mod (o-ring around feedneck)
Sear spring replaced with dental orings (easier firing)
Trigger spring replaced with pen spring (faster/easier firing)
Also for sale is a 20oz. Java C02 tank (rehydro in 09) and a 14” J&J Ceramic Barrel. The barrel has a slight scratch on the side of it where it was bumped against a rock while playing. It hasn’t hurt anything. I will empty the C02 tank before shipping to reduce weight and prevent any safety problems.
The ONLY problem with the gun is that the safety does not work. It hasn’t worked since I installed the double trigger, and I have no clue what happened. Personally, I’ve never had use of the safety as I just watch where I put my fingers and use a barrel sock.
I really don’t want to part out, but will if I am offered a halfway decent price on something.
The only mod that will NOT be parted out is the expansion chamber as I cannot find the original stainless line that the mod replaced. I also cannot find the original tippmann barrel sock that came with the gun, but a new one can be bought for a few dollars.
Price: $200 OBO for everything (gun, barrel, and C02 tank)
