Default Winter Mods,,, Post Up Your Plans!!!!

I couldn't remember if this had already been posted this year or not. Post up your winter plans for your rides, unless this was already covered in another post. ? Feel free to post up some pics of your rides too if ya want.

Most of you already know, but I finally got my LS1 installed so now I've got some things to tidy up and long wish list of upgrades. Some will happen this winter, some will have to wait. I don't know about the rest of you, but I was layed off since June of this year and just recently got picked up with another engineering firm. It was rough being layed off at first (too much time on my hands), but I got alot accomplished and was probably a well needed break from the norm.

So anyway, here are some things I'd like to get done this winter.

-TSP 1-7/8" Headers / Offroad Ypipe
-Moser 9" w/4.11's
-ABS Delete / Line Lock
-BMR Adj TQ Arm
-255 In Tank Pump
-Revise Fuel Lines
-Dyno Tuning, mostly idle and drivabilty issues
-SS Hood
-SS Rear Spoiler

Here are a couple shots as of late. I finally got the chrome ZR1's I've always wanted. 17x9/17x11 of course!!

Your car looks great Mike. That is a very nice list of things you are going to do. On my wish list is: Dana 60, New Nitro Daves Plate kit, and a new Cam spec'd to my Mod's. The only thing I am sure of is the Cam. The rest is if I can come up with the MOOLAH!!!!!

Looking good Mike! I was also layed off in feb. Picked up another good gig in june but the economy may have me looking again very soon. It is a bitch right now

As for the car? I am thinking a coat of wax would be nice OH and a new converter. Lean towards Neal Chance.

Well I'm pretty much ready for paint on my pickup. While the firewall is getting painted I'll be working on some of the engine wiring and a few other things. The when I get the cab back from paint, I'll finish up the rest of the wiring, brake lines, tranny cooler lines and make it moveable under it's own power. Then it will all go in for paint.

Once it gets back from paint, I'll pretty much only have the interior to put together. Hopefully that will be accomplished by march.

Here's where I'm at now:

Oh, and I finished up de-modding the vette today. I can't believe how quite the stock exhaust is!

I am looking into buying a truck now so I can stop driving my T/A. If I can do that I have quite a few plans for suspending, induction, exhaust, and brakes. That's my focus right now. I'll start with suspension... just ordered an adjustable PHB the other day and there's more to come. My non ram air hood is peeling all of a sudden so a RA hood is one of the first things on my list. We'll see how it all goes.

I will be doing the Wallet mod... Selling the car more than likely

If something does turn around, then I want to try and just fix the little things and get a good tune on it.

Now that I've been laid off like you Mike as you know, maybe I can get my car back together and running. That is my goal this winter. Plus maybe putting it on a diet.

Thanks Doug and Ellis. It's nice to be back in the driver seat of the Z28 again. I actually got to drive it to the alignment shop and back on Saturday, and it's quite a beast, even with the 3.42's. I don't have it tagged yet, hasn't been tagged since 04', so I haven't really got to drive the car around at all.

Ackattack, that truck of yours is looking cool as hell. Does it have air bag suspension? I have a buddy that is having a 69 stepside done, LS1, bagged, and full C4 suspension front/rear. Kustom Rides in Portland is doing the work for him.

Cody, the first month for me was the hardest. After that I found all kinds of things to occupy my time. Now it's hard getting back into the work thing again. I'm used to having so much free time. Now I need to remember to get **** done on the weekends haha... If you need a hand with your car man, I'm a just a phone call away, but you already know that.

Let's hear some more mods out there.... Bobby...........? Is there a whipple in your future????

Nice rear end Don!

Oh, and nice car & list Mike. Should be a lot of fun when you get her done. When did you get that?

My list is short this winter. (like I need to do anything else) But I'm putting a cage in the car & Ellis is building a TH400 with a T-brake for me. About the only other thing I'll need is a parachute.

How difficult is it to install the TSP headers on an F-body. Do motor mounts have to be unbolted and the engine jacked up or the steering linkage r&r'd?

About 10-12 hours for a first timer. About half that if you've done it a bunch of times.

Yes, yes and maybe.
