been doin some thinking
well ive considered selling my ss. and ive taking a liking to the WS6 and the firehawk. so i think what i wana do is sell my ss and get a TA. ive had 3 camaros since 2005, and to be honest im really just kinda tired of the camaro look. what i want is a sexy red TA ws6 or firehawk with low miles, i dont care that they are heavier. i just really am starting to like the look better than that of the camaros. what do you guys think? should i pull the trigger on this?
i would also be willing to trade my built ss for a ws6/firehawk, if theres anyone out there wanting to do that.

I love my T/A. Built beefier then the Camaro's. They drive a lot smoother w/ less rattles and the interior comfort speaks for itself. I would take the extra weight any day for these alone. If you can come out on the deal w/o having to spend a lot of extra $$ then go for it if it makes you happy.

Here is a really CLEAN one for sale. 6 spd, LOW miles, 2001, looks flawless! Not a bad price either. You could probably talk him down a bit too. http://salem.craigslist.org/cto/2033774896.html
EDIT:The owner never got a single call on this car so he took it up to Kuni BMW and they gave him $8,500 for it! WOW.

Kuni BMW is asking almost 15K for it anyways...lmao What a bunch of crooks. This is a perfect example as to why I refuse to ever buy a car from a dealership.

Interior wise they are more solid. Beefier seats/dash. And from what I was told by the parts manager at Weston Pontiac the shell has bigger safety support beams....hear say so I'm not saying this is true. I can say after driving my Z28, Tyler's SS Camaro and a couple other LSx base Camaro's, they def handle more smooth and feel like tanks.

The transAms are more stout without a doubt. My friend chris here has a 01 and we put them on a scale and there was a 285+ weight difference between my LT frame and outweighed our friends 02 camaro. I always tell him if I need to make a road trip I want to borrow his TA because of how nice and quiet it drives. Luxery muscle car

Here's where the extra weight comes from:
Seats
Interior door panels
Stereo
More wiring
Larger rear wing/hatch

OK, I was thinking more along the lines of chassis when you used the term "beefy" lol..... Anyone that says a TA has a beefier chassis or anything structural is whistling dixie, that's internet bs. They're exactly the same under the body panels. And please don't believe anything a parts manager has to say about structural design. There's a reason those guys aren't wrenching on cars and sit in front a counter/computer all day. When I was taking a bunch of weight out of my car, I saw a lot of guys posting up the weights of different structural parts that were weighed afterward. Structurally, there's really no difference between Camaro/TA/Firebird/WS.6 etc...
