Question Oregon Wrecking yard or auction wrecks ?

Looking for a 5.3 / 4l60-80e setup for my 70 Chevelle

What wrecking yards in Oregon offer the best price and most complete setups when buying complete engines ? (Drive accessories, wiring , pcm, ect)

Or auctions to check out for wrecks to grab a complete 2wd van/truck

I'm in Central OR , Bend/Redmond/Prineville area , but no problems traveling to Portland or Medford for the right setup

Thanks for any tips or thoughts

Josh

205 , Lkq, and B&R all have what I need , but it's always a coin toss finding a yard that's even a little consistent in what they include , and none are pulled sitting on a pallet for viewing before purchase , they are still in the truck/van and all depends on the guys pulling it out far as what your gonna get ..

Hoping someone here knows someone at a yard that does swap friendly pulls .. aka "the homie hookup" , lol .. it's all the stuff the yard does not include that nickels and dimes ya to death and makes me wanna just buy a complete wreck instead

02 z28, M6 , w/46k ... pics of my junk , keep it interesting, lol

those engines have gotten more and more expensive the past year or two due to demand from us car guys. YOu can also try Steve @ G&R let him know what you want and he will make sure you get it with the engine. Or Marty at Gundies is good too. I have dealt with them for many years through work and personal.

Perfect ! Thanks Eric , exactly the info I'm looking for .... the 5.3/4l60 with 120-160k I'm hoping for the 900 to $1200 range , find out late next week when I have cash in hand I guess

Plan A: trying to map out a complete and installed setup with a turbo for daily driver use under $5 grand in the Chevelle , hoping $4k on paper keeps me under $5k to be laying tracks from a 60 mph roll , lol

Plan B: sell my Nova for $10k + the 5 I have , build a MONSTER LSx turbo Chevelle for $15 grand .. but I'm north of $25 grand into the Nova and I get butt hurt just thinking about that loss

ProStreet = no back seat ! Was cool before I had a kid

Real hard to get under $1500 unless u hit the right time of day lol.Nova is cool real worthy of a super budget 5.3turbo build That would be fun but go for a 4l80 and 5.3 out of a 2wd u will toast the 4L60 out if the gate.

Keep an eye on craigslist for a wreck or someone who is parting out a car or truck. ITs about the best way to keep the cost down.
I ended up getting a complete with everything LQ4 for $300 and then a 4L80e from another guy for $350. It took a lot of waiting for the right deals though.
