Default hey guys, anyone gearing up for drag season?

sup gang, haven't checked in for a while but I thought I'd stop by and say hi. I read around a bit and I see a lot of new faces, as well as some familiar ones making some big strides with their rides. Anyway, I still have a set of 4 16x8 twisties taking up space in the garage. They would be great for someone hear to throw some DR's on and I'll let them go for real cheap. $50 for 2 or $90 for all 4. That is dirt cheap, but I just really dont feel like dealing with shipping them somewhere. I'd be willing to meet somebody somewhere, maybe even at one of ya'lls hooters GTG's. It'd be nice to see some of you again, and I remember a particular MR. Boyce owing me some brewskies

have a good one guys, I'll try to check back on this in a few days.

Joe

Hey Joe, good to see you man! You need to come out sometime when we all get together... when the sun's shining, people meet out at the Monroe Quizno's, and then there's always Hooters on some weekends...

Wazzup Joe? Long time bud! Hope all is well. And yes, several of us are making strides for racing this year. Some GIANT, some BIG, and some smaller. But all fun! By years end, I would expect you'll need to run < mid 12s to stay in the top 10. Maybe even low 12s. There should be ~5 cars running 11s by my estimate. Maybe more if Jason, Bill & I all get lucky.

Stop out to Monroe some sunny Saturday & say hi. Or watch for the Hooters posts. That seems to be fav spot #2 for us now. Take care...

Lucky ? I'm running an 11 this summer ..... that's all I've got a feeling that you and Jason might beat me there too

Yeah we'll see about that... so close yet so far. I'm making a couple of small changes to my setup, so we'll see if it's enough to push me over the top.

I'd say we should have some little wager between us, about who runs 11s first. But since I haven't been to the track yet this year, and I have a new setup I feel a bit uneasy. Don't want to jinx things & make my car slower than it used to be.

Mark if you hook 1.6 60ft times should be your norm if not better

A converter and a cam pushed Stephs car from 13.78 to 13.03 And it is a tiny cam

I am just hoping to make it out

I can only dream of a 1.6 60' time. That would certainly leave me knocking on 11s. My normal now is a 1.95. The question will probably come down to whether the 9.50/16 QTPs are enough tire now. I may have to get some 11.50s (if they'll fit).
