Default Here we go again...For Sale

I am getting more and more serious about selling my car. Testing the water again. I have myself in a mode not to buy a daily driver Vette if I sell it like I talked about in the past.

Mark I should of sold my car to you! You could of stripped it down for a DD.
Oh well.

Gauging a price link

If somone would give me the bucks now I prob would do it.

I am not posting this for everyone to tell me to keep the car, I appreciate it, I just want to see if anyone knows someone that would be interested in buying it.

Thanks,

Todd

Sure, wait until AFTER I buy the GTO.....some friend you are! lol

I would think you'd get at least $22k trading it in Todd. Especially if you are going after a new Vette. I wish I could afford it.....I'll pass this along to some people for you tho. So why, because you've run out of parts to chorme / polish?

Honestly, I really was wondering if you really were going to buy the GTO. At that moment I was not going to sell it.

You know that I have been on the fence about selling it from time to time. At this time I am not going to buy a vette if I sell it.

Thanks for asking around for me, I appreciate it.

So, if you do sell it what are you going to get to replace it?

I bet you could sell it for 21-22k or more. If you sold you supercharger seperately you could probably get even more.

Todd, Selling a car like yours is a big deal. I do think with what your car is you should ask more for it, there is always someone looking for what you have. I would post it on the boards, and then at the next show just put a forsale sign next to it with about 30k, and you will probely sell it the same day.

The market would not allow for more $$, I have checked all over the boards and with dealers. Just a fact of life, I understand this it was not an investment.

For some of you that are new with me I have been through this exercise before, was going to sell it last year decided not to. I have had plenty of insight from everyone and 22k is steep but I will stand firm. I am in no bind to sell.

I do not want to trade and create another pmt at this time for another car.

Again I appreciate the up selling advice but really if it is such a great deal help me sell it, it should be no problem I just want to know if anyone knows a friend etc who is interested, it is a great deal.

Lets put it this way, Kelly Blue book says it is worth 18k to sell it out right, on a trade it is worth 16k. This is with no mods, all the mods are worth 18k more with out any labor on them and free polishing (none of that is included to pump the mod value up). So 18k value plus 18k in mods = 36k so in reality you are saving 14k above the 18k blue book...very fair.

22k selling price
18k blue book
=buyer in the hole for 4k (purchasing the car stock)
add 18k mods
=14k savings.

Thanks again,

Todd

I won't here of this talk.

I worked my butt off this year cleaning up my tired old dailey driver so I would not be embrassed to park next to you and now you talk of selling???????

If do sell, sell me your slicks. I going to have to buy a rear end, set up the suspension & drive line to go racing. Todd you can't sell I can't afford to go racing I need a show buddy.

Have you taken it to Kompact Kar Korner or that other hot rod dealership up in My Vernon / Burlinghton? They should be able to give you a fair market value for it.

There will never be a fair market value.

Steve Goodwin I won't here of this talk.
I know, I will miss the show thing. I will sell the slicks separate if the car goes.

Bill-I am not big in racing like you guys are.

Tammy - There are plenty of things to do to have fun.

I may look into that place that Eric took his car. They have a pretty good program, sell it for what you want they keep everything above your asking price.

OK, here is the deal. You sell the car for 23k, I will give you 1k. I sell the car I will charge 22k.

The car is not to be sold for more than 23k because I am not giving anyone more than 1k.

Deal?

Tha kinda takes away some of the incentive. What if a guy knew a guy who gladly pay $24k? Just theoretically...

Why would they want to pay more than what I am asking?

Sell it to Don B. He needs a show car Camaro.

And you're telling me if I can sell it for $30k you won't take it?

I did not think about Don, he may be interested. I should send him an email.

You should offer a detailing package where the buyer can drop it off and have everything cleaned and polished so it looks all pretty again and a nice coat of Zaino

Well, since my brother got $22k for his 02 TA with a cat-back on it, IN NEBRASKA, yeah, I think it's is too low. But, it's your car, and you know what you want to do, and how fast you want to sell the car.

The problem with your car, is to get what it's worth (which is north of $30k IMO) you will have to shop it around & find the right buyer. It is a SPECIALTY kind of car. Not everyone would want it. But trust me, if you take it up to Everett Chev (or dealer X of your choice) and ask what they'd give you as a trade on a C6, I think you'll hear $22k or better.

Clyde Revord has a Collector Edition TA on their lot right now for $25k, and a black SS...didn't see it's price, it just showed up. I'll cruise by & check on the way home today.

Personally, I wouldn't sell my car for under $35k. But then I wouldn't sell it.
