Hey my car is ******' fast now !
I LOVE this ASA cam It has made a huge SOTP differance It's got the perfect powerband (for me) and revs freely and pulls hard all the way to 6800 rpm. I haven't revved it past that to see where it really falls off. I'm sure it wouldn't go much further though. My valve train is every bit as quiet as stock, which I was happy to discover. It starts coming on at about 3000 rpm and is pulling hard by 3500 rpm and then just keeps building. Peak torque is probably around 5000 rpm. It does have the infamous ASA cam idle, so I've been spending alot of time logging runs and editing tunes trying to get the idle and part throttle attitude up to an acceptable level. It was a surging monster below 2000 rpm on my 1st drive, but now It's leaps and bounds better than when I started. Just a slight surge at 1500 rpm under maintenance throttle. Used the "VCM controls" to add 3* of timing in that cell as it was surging and it went away completely so I know what to do now. By tomorrow night (weather permitting) I should have it dialed in. I would've had it tonight, but I let my laptop battery go dead and lost my log
Anyway just wanted to give my opinion on it for you guys since actual accounts are hard to find. To sum it up, it has a pretty rough idle and am not sure an A4 would be happy with it. With tuning it's not hard to drive in traffic though it's pretty soft off idle and requires a differant clutch technique to move off smoothly. I get lot's of comments at stoplights on the sound
Issues ? I have just one. Above 6300 rpm I gain freeplay in the clutch making it hard to shift. At 6500+ rpm I can't hardly shift at all I guess I'm suffering from the old hydraulic clutch problem that's so common. What exactly are guys doing to fix this anyway ?

Nice, sounds like a beast and a fun rpm range . www.installuniversity.com has a tutorial for the drill mod. Which clutch do you have by the way?

Yep, need that drill mod for the upper rpm shifts, like the others three posts said.
Might want to think about a good road racing clutch too... not sure what the best friction material is for that, though. Might also want an adjustable master with a larger bore to push more fluid.

Do the Drill Mod. make sure you bench bleed then use a Pheionix(sp) injector to back bleed
