I don't think you can "share" a programmer like that... they're keyed to the VIN of the car.

HP tuner is not vin specific, it is only year/platform specific so if someone has the same year of f-body then that will work.

He's got a 1999 F-body. Anyone got an HP Tuners cable for that year?

I have HPTuner for a 99 and 01. Doug currently has it and when he gets back from Vegas I'll be able to get it back. After that I'd have no problem loaning it out. I need to send the cable back for warranty issues though. It drops communication randomly. But this only seems to surface when it's logging and not while it's d/l or u/l tunes.

Is it just the serial cable? Maybe I can use mine and see if it does the same. That's a standard cable so maybe you could swap it out, unless the issue is in the box.

Maybe you can pick up that sway bar when you loan Yekta the software. I guess I'll be doing the tune for him, though he hasn't asked yet. ;-]

thanks, rokko!

Hey narcszm, no kiddin, talk about playing phone tag. That sounds good to me.

The issue is with the interface box the cables go through. As far as I know at least. HPTuner sent me an email saying I was one of the people that has the bad interface. Lucky me. Oh well, it only acts up while logging. But I do need to send that baby back soon. As soon as I get it back from Doug (should be this weekend or early next week) I'll contact ya and we'll get it squared away before I send it back for replacement.

Sounds like I might need to get a hold of this guy. I had a dyno tune in Texas, but I didn't feel that great about the whole thing. I'm gonna put long tube headers in late this summer and will need another dyno tune. Could you get me his info? That would be awesome..........Thanks
