Default My 1st Dyno run ever

Ok, we ran just once because the car is running ULTRA lean. One pass, no more. It's the hypercrap programming that's probably causing it. So, with the following bolt ons, here's the slip:

1 - GMMG cat back
2 - Volant Intake
3 - Shaner S3 Throtle Body
4 - 4:11s on stock rear end with T/A cover.

324 HP and 330.1 Torque from 2,000 rpm flat up to 5,500 rpm when some SERIOUS pinging was happening so the foot was lifted. Not too bad for all stock internals huh?

Ellis............ what do you think I'll get after the mods?

Thanks!!

I'd say you better get 425 with TJ tuning it. Hell, Jason & I hit close to 400 with just a cam & bolt-ons.....

BTW, I forgot to post the A/F ratio sheet. They told me it's scary lean, the it's like "piston melting" almost.

I don't know exactly how to interpret those numbers and what to look for, so maybe you can give me some light? Thanks in advance!!

i see you hitting 425-30 for sure...i am running almost the same setup you plan on going with, only thing different is i have a F14...my dyno #'s were 415/380 with STOCK LS1 intake, TB, and pulley...i see myself hitting 430 with the addition of those mods, and hopefully 400+rwtq (hopefully)...so im sure you will see around the same #'s...

Hey Jon how is the drivability of your car? And if you don't mind me asking, what is the LSA on your F14?

Thanks

Drivabilty is great, Allan @ Futral tuned my car, and i cant say enough about him...great guy...cold A/C, no wait for the car to catch idle, just turn the key and im sitting @ 900rpm idle, wait for the car to warm up, and im gone...

LSA is 112+2

Ah, thanks man. Are you annoyed by the loudness of your setup at all? I ask this because I'll drive the car a lot, almost every day.

Yeah, I'm not playing with the car for a while now since I first heard some pinging.

Also, I removed the power programming today and I'm selling the HPP 3 on eBay.

When it sells and I have to ship it I'll remove everything from the PCM (back to stock so the buyer can use the HPP 3) -- my speedo and fan points will all be screwed up but not for too long right?

So Ellis, what should I be looking for on that A/F ratio table I posted above?

12.5-13.0 AFR is safe and productive on a N/A car We shoot for 13.0 on the dyno because the cars run leaner in the open air

Wow that is lean! It appears that the PCM didn't even go into PE (power enrichment) mode at all. Don't worry we will squeeze from power out of here.......on another note, I had a 2000 Mustang GT with a blower and a purpose built 4.6L sohc engine. The blower was pushing 18 to 20 psi and that stang laid down 545 Hp and 470 ft/lbs on my dyne today! It gained another 10 with Methanol injector and some additional timing. All of this was on race fuel as well and through the mufflers!
