Default Finally finished my dyno tune (yes, I'm lazy...)

I finally got off my *** and got the car on the dyno so I could finish my tune. I picked up about 14 hp and 12 ft-lbs peak over my previous best run. I also pickup up about 20 ft-lbs at 3K rpm. Mods are as follows:

TSP Lid, Torquer V.1 cam, PRC dual spring kit, Pacesetter LT's, TSP true duals, and a home ported TB. Still no underdrive pulley. Here's the graph:

Strangely enough, my torque curve did not improve at all when I fattened the AFR up to 12.5, or even 11. It didn't change at all. It seemed to like 26* of timing up until torque peak for the best torque curve, and then 28* from there on for best horsepower. Guess it's time for some heads now...

Oh, and those numbers uncorrected are 332 HP and 312 TQ way up here in Albuquerque! I miss sea level...

Those are nice............That's more than I put down on the Dynojet with H/C. And you don't even have a cam..........

Torquer V.1 cam, PRC dual spring kit
Can't wait to get mine, Ellis is going to do it. I have Mac Mid lengths that will go on in NOV.
Nice Numbers! Are those all of your mods? A4 or M6?

Yep, that's it. Through an M6. It took so long because I fried the Z06 clutch I had in there. And I babied that thing %90 of the time, too. The last time I dyno'd before changing the clutch out to a Spec 3 my numbers were really low (like 370/340 SAE or something like that) because the clutch wouldn't hold on the dyno. Here's what it looked like when I pulled it out:

That was the first and last time I'll remove and replace my tranny without the benefit of a lift and a transmission jack. Catching a T-56 falling off of a floor jack in the chest is not fun...

That looks a little too lean to me ? I'd be a little concerned about going over 13 at WOT myself. Can't argue with your numbers though. Just don't go open road racing with it like that

Yep, I thought so too. I fattened it up first to 12.5:1 and then 11.0:1, and the torque curve didn't budge, which seemed kinda strange. Horsepower took a hit though. I didn't get any knock retard at 13.5:1, so I wasn't too concerned about the leanness of the run. However I did set the AFR to 12.5:1 up to the torque peak, and leaned it out to 13:1 after that. I pulled pretty much the same numbers, but for some reason I can't find a log file of that run.

Yeah............I don't have headers either. But I figure with the headers I would still only hit just at 400whp! When I get it back I plan on dyno tuning it. Hopefully Ellis will help me see more than 400whp

If he dyno'd in ABQ he is at 5000 feet above sea level. That in itself will take a big bite out of his power curve. I lived in Grants NM for almost 10 years. That place is a 6500 feet! I rode a 550cc KTM 2 stroke dirt bike there for all those years, we would hill climb MT. Taylor which peaks at 11300 feet, let me tell you that 550 felt like a anemic 250 at that altitude, but it would still blow away a CR500 Honda. I ran a blown 396 LT4 in my 95 C4 there, and I never had to use the Crane Boost retard, I ran 12 PSI of boost there and it never rattled once. I sure miss New Mexico, great people, nice country to play in, never had to deal with damn SEED EATERS there.
