I second that, they had an awesome year and if they are smart and lock up Alexander to a long term deal soon, there is no reason why they can't be back in SB 41.

Wish I could be at the airport to greet them when they get off the plane today but I have to work. But they did play one hell of a game and a season to be remembered for a long time. Nothing to hang your head over to be sure.

Congratulations to the Seahawks! They can surely hold their heads high. They played a great game and I for one am extremely proud of them. The game had the initial makings of a route just like with Carolina. Hawks were always moving the chains and Hasselbeck played awesome as did the rest of the team. Everything seemed to be against them....calls, missed field goals, couple critical dropped passes, couple passes caught but just out of bounds and so on. This game could have easily been 31-17 Seahawks with the same domination as with Carolina. Congrats to the Steelers, but not the best team on the field yesterday.
Can you just imagine if the Superbowl location was determined like it is in major league baseball with a mix of highest seed ala NFL playoffs. Would have been in our house. What a butt kicking that would have been.

I agree with that! Neither team looked extremely good. So the Seahawks moved the ball, they only had 57 more yards than the Steelers. If Ben would not have thrown that interception down at the goal line the rout would have been on. That would have made it 21-3. It was a terrible call taking away that touchdown and settling for 3. They should have went for it on 4th and 3inches too. But the biggest suprise to me was the terrible clock management with 8min left in the game. They should have been going no huddle. Still, great year for the Seahawks and they should be favored to go back from the NFC if they keep Alexander.

Here's a little something my wife wrote:

Ode to the Steelers

Oh, Super Bowl Champs,

How pleased you must be.

To beat the soaring Seahawks

with stealth and agility.

Why did I doubt you?

Why did I think them best?

You must forgive me dear Steelers.

For living so near their nest.

My brainwash was complete

To doubt the boys from the "burgh".

I was enchanted by the heights

that soared the seaside bird.

But, Oh, the mighty Steelers

How noble, how strong.

As tough as your native steel

forged in days long gone.

Oh, the steadfast Steelers,

Who proved they are the best.

Steelers best in the East,

And Seahawks best in the West!!!

Quick Reply: Congrats Seahawks
