I'll only get myself in trouble if I say what I really think about that video.

Aside from the bonehead manuver of pulling up next to the chased car, I thought he (the cop) did a decent job............doofus for pulling up next to him.....had he not, he wouldn't have crashed that awesome pursuit car.

When he pulled up next to him I was assuming the pit maneuver was coming.

I started to think it but he went waaay past the rear quarter which is where that is done, plus if they were gonna do a pit, that speed is fairly dangerous (IIRC under 50 MPH is the average guideline) plus they would not "normally" use a specialty car like a B4C Camaro as it damages the po-po car as well.

ya deffinatly no chance for a PIT at that speed.
I saw that on TV a whille back, and I thought, hmmm fuggin cop need to learn how to drive! he should have put er in reverse and turned the wheel right 'n brough the frontend back around. then he could have stayed in the pursuit, unless the steering broke when he caught air, or some othe susp. malfunction...

I remember when that first aired years ago thinking of what a bone head move it was for the cop to pull. He is lucky the wheels did not dig in or it would have been a NASCAR roll from hell!

If it was a '93 it coulda had a chip.

Although neither of my LT1 cars had anywhere near 350 hp, even at the flywheel.

Very first thing they teach you at pursuit driving school is do NOT pull up next to the car you are chasing.
