Default Seen a McLaren SLR sat...

I went with the Camaro club I am in to cruise the waterfront and we had too many cars, so decided to go to the Owens beach area at PT defiance park. As we all pulled in and parked up the hill(about 16 cars) a Mercedes McLaren SLR drove up and parked across from us. I have never seen one before, still had temp plates on it and guy driving it spoke little english(was from middle east), he didn't even know the hp or if it was a v8 or 10. So, when I went home I looked up those cars on the net, damn 615+ hp and costs $455,000.. As we went to look at the SLR, a guy in a black 06 Z06 drove up and he was pretty cool, did a little burnout up the hill as he left. On the way to meet up with the club, seen 2 ferrari's and a lambo.... must have been exotic car day..

Yeah everyone is bringing their nice cars out now that the sun if showing. This weekend saw a few Vipers, bunch of C6s, a Lotus Elise, probably 5 Ferraris, and just this evening a block from my house I drove past an Aston Martin.

Those benz' are sweet looking cars. They sound good?

I was taking the trash out from work today and a RUF porsche drove by and goosed it through an intersection. The exhaust note was amazing. I stopped and just stood there for a minute or so.

Top Gear described the sound of the exhaust note as "the god of thunder gargling with nails". I think from what I heard it has one of the most awesome sounding exhaust tones of any car I've ever heard. It sounds truly evil.

We saw one of these new Lambo Murcielagos driving away from XXX on our way in. It was a sunset orange color.

Equipped with permanent all-wheel drive, the $279,800 Murciélago holds an enlarged, 571-horsepower 6.2-liter version of the engine that had previously powered the Diablo 6.0 VT. The company claims that the Murciélago can lurch from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and can reach a top speed approaching 230 mph.

SWEET!!!

Yeah, prolly has to suck knowing a dude with a car that cost less then 1/5 of his could mop the floor with him......BUT, and don't take this the wrong way, I would much rather have that car then any of ours.......just something about an Italian exotic.

And those cars are nice too.

I couldn't stand the maintence on them, engine rebuild like every 20k and most people that own them have no passion for the car, they just own it because it makes their e-***** bigger.

If I could afford it without having to live in a refrigerator box on the corner, that stuff wouldn't bug me.......20k miles would be a loooong time in coming. And I have been in love with Lambos since I was a little kid and saw my first Countach. My e-***** is fine, I just think those cars rock socks & I would kill to be able to have one. Even just an old 80's Countach. Matter of fact, I would prefer a Countach to a Diablo or whatever the newer ones are. I just love the looks, style, etc of those models.

It "looks" awesome......but sadly it is not happening until I finish with my settlement.........and Lord only knows how long that will be.

And the way my luck runs, it will be winter when it finally happens.

Is it one of those high pitched F1-esque type tones like the carrera GT or something beastly like that black c6 zo6 vid that was floating around?

The F1-type is cool and all but not one of those notes that I'm drawn too.

I didn't even hear it drive off, was very quiet. I am sure when you lay into it, it would be loud.

No, this is a deep, throaty, mean sounding exhaust... Like a mean V8 badass.

Hear it for yourself... I think it sounds totally badass.
