Default Are Koni's Worth It?

Trying to decide if I should save up or the Koni SAs, or go with Bilstien HDs. I want to get new shocks to upgrade my suspension, but wanted to know what your guy's opinions are. I would like to take my car to the track a couple of times a year, but am mainly looking for more cornering fun out of my daily driver.

Koni shocks are the absolute best money can buy.

I should tell you how satisfied I am with my Bilstein BTS kit, it works perfect for both daily drive and track. I remember paying around $500 for all... Strongly recommended

For what it is worth, I have the SLP Bilstein shocks on my car an I am NOT impressed even remotely. I shoulda saved for the Koni DA.

Although, after having driven a 2002 Firehawk with the 1LE package on it, I am all for using those stock components and being very happy........of course IIRC they do use the Koni DA's (or something similar)

Not that the front end is even remotely similar but I've been quite happy with bilstein HD's on my bird. Although I just have new stock style replacements to compare it to.

I dunno what (if any) difference there is between the SLP and HD Bilsteins but most anything is an impovement over stock.

If you can swing it, go with the DA's. If not the SA will work just fine.

From what I understand the rear shocks are valved the same between the standard bilsteins and the HDs, it's just the front and obvisouly that's only for the thirdgen crowd. I don't even know the different levels of struts they offer for 4thgen. And I definately don't know what SLP does about valving.

I have Konis on my car. Love them. They are really the best shocks money can buy. I opted for the single adjustables just because I don't need the doubles.

Twisty roads are lots of fun now.

I had the Bilstein HD's from SLP and they are just plain terrible in comparison to my Koni's
